Last weekend’s #gtg made me pick one of my vintage watches. Good influence I guess.

Joining #fridaynightlumebattle today with my #omegaseamastergoldeneye wearing new shoes.

I think, the mesh bracelet looks and feels good so far.

✈️ BACK TO WHERE IT STARTED

This Seiko was the first “proper” mechanical watch I bought for myself — back in 2017, while I was still studying.

These days, it doesn’t get nearly as much wrist time as it used to. But every time I put it on, it somehow brings me back down to earth.

Before the Omegas, before the collecting got more serious, before all the watch projects… there was this.

Over the years I gave it a few upgrades:

⚙️ NH36 movement with hacking & hand-winding

🔵 Domed sapphire crystal with blue AR coating

And honestly, I think both suit the watch perfectly.

For tonight’s #FridayNightLumeBattle, I went for a slightly aviation-inspired setup — an old encyclopedia page about aircraft technology, watchmaking tools and that strong, beautifully applied Seiko lume doing what Seiko lume does best.

Nothing exotic. Nothing overly expensive.

Just a watch with a lot of personal history.

And sometimes, those are the ones that matter most.

What was your first “proper” mechanical watch?

Time goes by quickly. Another #tbt and another two more Bond/ Spectre watches. Tonight I get my hands on both of them.
