The Comporta Blues line-up is here!

We’re so excited to finally share the artists who’ll be bringing Carvalhal to life on August 21 & 22. Expect two evenings of incredible live music, with blues at the heart of the festival, before dancing into the night with our DJs.

A huge thank you to our amazing sponsors for making this second edition possible: SAL, Xtian, CostaTerra, Atlantic Club, AlmaLusa, Ando Living, Herdade da Comporta and Espírito da Comporta. More partners will be in the spotlight very soon!

A special thank you to Bonte Filipidis, our main sponsor who’s been with us since day one ❤️, to @monitta_comporta for bringing beautiful floral touches, and to @ecopraga_ for kindly reminding the mosquitoes they’re not on the guest list. 🦟

This is only our second edition, and we’re learning and growing with you. Thank you for your support, your trust and all your feedback, it truly means the world to us.

Don’t forget: our FREE Opening Beach Session takes place on August 20 at SAL Restaurant, Carvalhal Beach, from 6 PM, with live music at sunset. (Reservation/ticket required.)

See you very soon! 💙

HAPPY 76TH BIRTHDAY MAXIME!

A few moments of Maxime's 76th birthday celebration last weekend.
This iconic house is still full of life, and even after three quarters of a century continues being Portugal's most outstanding cabaret.
Maxime is more than a venue.
It is a historical institution, that for 76 years has been ( full) filling the forbidden dreams of Lisbon.

A special thank you to our special guests Ginevra Joyce and Fernando Girão, who respectively in the areas of burlesque and world music are world reference artists and contibuted so gloriously to make this night as unforgetable as it was.
And an equally special thank you to the amazing resident artists that make our show what it is, it is because of you that these 7 years have been so outstanding.

Because life is a cabaret.

MAXIME IS HISTORY. MAXIME IS FAMILY. MAXIME IS LOVE. MAXIME IS HOME.

Being the daughter of a singer and the granddaughter of a singer and a composer and player makes music be like the air you breathe.
It is all that matters in life, the most important thing in the world.
My grandmama was a great fado singer, my grandpapa was Amália's first composer and master of guitars, and he used to play at Maxime with the great Alfredo Marceneiro many decades ago.
So it was an honor to be able to celebrate Maxime's 76th birthday with my father, paying a homage to a grandfather who is not with us anymore and to the first and mythical Maxime of the house's origin:
We, the descendants paying homage to the ancestors that once filled this glorious house.
Because Maxime is history, Maxime is family, Maxime is love, Maxime is home.
To every single lisboner.
And every single person lucky enough to enter its walls.
