Fun at @themonstermerchants ! Monster Mania 2026 Open Day! 😁

Talked with legendary authors Dan Abnett and James Swallow, (Warhammer books and more). I bought The Horus Heresy Saga book 1 and got it signed. 👌

I entered the painting competition with Shaun & Theoden, (I entered a poorly painted Orc), and had a hands-on airbrushing tutorials with Dan & Mike (much needed). I also entered a 15min speed painting competition with Ben! Amazing how much can be painted when you are up against the clock!
I ate BBQ and drinks (sold by The Dog House Micropub).
And my friend picked up his prize after winning a giveaway competition!
There were full size Warhammer props to play with and try on.
I got some pro hobby tips from Leighton which im looking forward to trying out.
The 601st Cosplay Group were there looking amazing in the war gaming cosplay along with Voidstorm Games.

Monster Mania is free entry, and people traveled as far as Germany to attend!

Visit their shop, open everyday!

Thanks you to everyone who entered their armies at The Kent Major 2026, and 1000's of you who voted for your favourite army. The results were very close with Wolves coming in 1st, followed by Custodes in 2nd and finally Nids in 3rd. We look forward to the next event which is the Kent Team in November, and hope to catch some of you here at Monster Mania on Sunday 30th of August.

This years The Kent Major 2026: Warhammer 40,000 winners! 🏆

Everyone in attendance displayed great sportsmanship and the friendliness that makes these Canterbury events so special. This is always more important to me than overall placings. ❤️

That said, These players in paticular, either through tactical acumen or consistently rolling better than their opponents, won more games than most over the course of the weekend!

Prizese were awarded for:

🥇 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
🥈 Best in Bracket (1-4 wins)
🎖️ Imperium, Chaos, Xenos Champion (highest placed player that did not win another award)

Our top placed player will also receive a Golden Ticket to the Warhammer World Championships in Barcelona and £250 towards their flight ✈️ 🎫

Of course, the real prize was epic table top moments and the friends made along the way!

You can see the full run down over on Best Coast Pairings www.bestcoastpairings.com 🏴‍☠️

Thank you to The Monster Merchants for sponsoring the event and providing great support across the weekend!

Tickets for The Kent Major 2027: Warhammer 40,000 are available now with a limited number available at 15% off!
