Meet the Team: Rich! 👋

It’s Day 5 of Local Bike Shop Week, and Rich is putting in the ultimate shift for our Derbyshire retailers!

Talk about versatility—in a single workday, Rich goes from clocking up the miles in the sleek ID.7 Tourer to hopping onto the Tern GSD Cargo bike for his afternoon visits. Whether he’s on four wheels or two, he’s delivering some serious goodies to help his local shops power through the week! 🎁

Rich might be the newest member of the Schwalbe family, but he’s a seasoned pro with years of industry experience under his belt.

Fun Facts about Rich:

🚲 Current go-to bike: Tern GSD family cargo bike

🗺️ Favourite local riding route: Monsal trail with the family

📻 Car soundtrack: Waiting Room by Fugazi

🥐Post-ride reward: @birds_bakery Elephants Foot

🏢Time at Schwalbe: 7 months

Disclaimer: No Colin the Caterpillars were harmed in the making of this photo. We can’t say the same for the Elephants Foot though... 👀

Spotted at @strettonbikes ... 🐢 Turbo the Tortoise 🐢

Rich also ran into the toughest critic in the business! Meet the Head of Quality Control🐢

Turbo might not be the fastest mechanic in the shop, but he is a firm believer that a job well done, and a proper tea break should never be rushed. He is currently supervising the Shrewsbury biscuits and waiting for the kettle to whistle.

Retailers, keep your eyes peeled! If you see Rich pulling up, get the kettle on☕️

What start to the @gravityeventsuk @smilingchainlink super fast and close racing all weekend couldn’t quite find the pace Saturday finishing 5th 0.7secs off the podium but managed to get 🥉 Sunday with less than 0.6secs separating us. Raced against some super fast top lads @frank_parkinson_mtb @teddy.rose.40 @olly.shreds @alfie_r_mtb

Also thanks @jamesoharemtb and @kxk_mtb for top one
