Being a follower of Christ doesn’t mean being weak. It means having the courage to stand for what’s right, even when the world stands against you. You can walk in humility without being a pushover, show love without compromising your convictions, and have faith without fear of judgment.

God didn’t call us to live for the approval of the world, but to stand firm in our faith. Be bold. Walk in truth. Lead with love.

New to the faith? You’re welcome here. You don’t have to have it all figured out to follow Jesus. Start with His Word, keep showing up, and let God shape you day by day. Drop a ✝️ or send me a message if you’re starting your walk with Christ. Let’s grow in faith together.

A few years ago i set a goal for myself to learn how to shoot my grandpas old recurve bow that he told me many stories about, and to eventually kill a giant buck with it. Theres been countless close calls, big bucks in compound range, and many frustrating hunts. Last night, it finally came together on a true New Jersey giant. Years and years of history with this deer for it to all come to a close in the same woods where i first learned to hunt, just 20 yards from where i shot my first deer at 10 years old. Theres no feeling to explain having a buck of this caliber at 18 yards and nothing but a stick and string in my hand. No sights, no modern technology, no nothing. Maybe God was looking down on me last night, maybe gramps was in the tree with me, or maybe i just have a hell of a lot of luck on my side. But whatever it is, last night is a night i will never ever forget as a bowhunter.

Sometimes life gets so loud that we forget we don’t have to carry everything alone. Prayer isn’t about having the perfect words or having all the answers. It’s about being willing to reach out, to be honest about what’s weighing on your heart, and to seek something greater than yourself.

Whether your faith is strong, uncertain, or still growing, take a moment today to pray. Aim at making it a habit You might be surprised by what changes—not always around you, but within you.

Faith isn’t always easy. Sometimes we believe, but still struggle with doubt, questions, and uncertainty. And sometimes life gets so heavy that we wonder where God is in the middle of it all.

In Mark 9:24, a man cries out to Jesus, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

I love that because it reminds us we don’t have to have it all figured out to come to Christ. Whether you’ve walked with Him for years, are struggling with your faith, or aren’t sure you believe at all, start with honesty. Bring your questions, your doubts, and your brokenness to Jesus.
You might be surprised by what happens when you give Him a chance. 🙏🏽

Brock is the first Poe on the board for the 2026 Indiana season! This guy has worked extremely hard the past four seasons hunting a tiny patch of swamp and it paid off with his second bow harvest. He executed a perfect shot, the VPA Omega with bleeders blowing through lung and heart for a quick kill and short 60 yard recovery. The arrow penetrated so deeply into the swamp floor after passing through he couldn’t find it. That’s a first for me but not surprising, this broadhead is special.

I went outside to protect my chickens and started picturing a Davy Crockett hat.

Caught the raccoon at about 15 yards. Lined up the @hoytbowhunting and sent an @eastonarchery 5.0 tipped with a @vparchery broadhead from Archery Country.

Saw the hit. He rolled, broke the arrow against the ground and got away. Blood on the shaft, none that I could see on the broadhead.

Bowhunters, what fixed blade do you trust and why?

Follow @rackandflame for the whole learning curve.
