Pacing at TMM ...and bus came home on time ! The responsibility.. The beauty and love ... The science and the art .... The chatter with the runners ..... The inspiration, the hard talk ...... The most beautiful thing, making people believe that they can achieve things when they have trained for those things ......

Mumbai Road Runners Run in memory of Coach Giles Drego (founding member of MRR) Started the day with a lovely morning run in memory of Giles Drego Sir! Mumbai was a bit chilly, but the humidity was still high. Had the opportunity to lead the warm-up for MRR at Otters Club, thanks @vram45 Sir! Post that Ram Sir explained the route to follow and we proceeded to run. Despite many events in and around Mumbai, the turnout was good. Ran with Dipen Visavadia and a surprise join from a Japanese runner! At Hill Road, champion runner Gurumurthy Nayak joined us, and we kept a steady 5:40-50 pace. We ran together, stopped for water and electrolytes at Mela, and then continued. Dipen left us at Haji Ali, but Guru, Keiichi Tange, and I pushed on. We crushed the Peddar Road climb and eased up on the downhill to HSBC. Then, we picked up the pace to 5:25-5:30 and finished strongly at Chowpatty! Post-run, we waited for the others, took pics, and met Amsterdam Marathon sub-4 finisher Kartik Iyer. Great meeting Sandy from Procam too! Guru led the cool-down, and Ram Sir &: Milton shared some wonderful stories about Giles Drego Sir. Giles Sir was a great coach, founding member of MRR, and a shining presence at NCPA. I used to see him always smiling with that huge walrus moustache at NCPA when I had started running in 2015. It was wonderful to see people from various groups turning up to show solidarity to the memory of Giles Sir. A big thanks to all the volunteers enroute especially @shailendrakamath143 for ensuring water / electrolytes support using his car , @anwarsyed5829 bhai for support at Mela , @pahaartii , Sudhir and other angel volunteers at Chowpatty and NCPA.

A big THANK YOU to each and every one of you who showed up and ran with all your heart, despite the heavy rains in the morning! While the 10K runners missed the rain during their run, the weather gods did bless us with a refreshing drizzle towards the end - and those post-run smiles made it all worth it! 😊 A heartfelt shoutout to all our volunteers @raashikadam, @i.am_u_n_me_shhhhh, @vijitshetty, @shahrahul25, Anwar Syed, Eric Dcosta, and Kavya - your support made everything run smoothly. Special thanks to @9987783921guru and @rajendratembe for selflessly skipping their own runs to volunteer. We were also joined by two enthusiastic young champs - Gurumurthy’s daughter and Swati's daughter - thank you for the energy and help! Thank you @shwetapatnaik for the delicious cake! Grateful to @fastandup_india for powering our hydration stations and to @mike.j.dsouza for capturing all those beautiful moments. Thanks to the Fast & Up and @pret.india social media teams as well for capturing the event! And last but not the least.. Thank you, @sidd_nam and team, for the amazing collaboration. We had a blast celebrating at Pret A Manger! 🥪☕🎉 Once again, Thank you everyone for making the 15th Anniversary Run a successful one! Next up, is the Friendship Day edition! Stay tuned for details. #AnniversaryRun #MRRFamily #WeAreMRR #RunInTheRain #FastAndUpIndia #PretIndia

Deeply honored to have been selected as one of the three juries for the 12th MRR Awards night. As one of the earliest members of Mumbai Road Runners (MRR), it was a privilege to receive a call from founder Ram Ve , inviting me to take on this esteemed role. The MRR awards selection process is truly professional, with meticulous data collation and verification. Volunteer Shailendra Kamath's diligent analytical work provided us jury with a comprehensive framework for evaluation. Sifting through 900 applicants, 300 nominees, and ultimately 111 finalists across 14 categories was a daunting task. I extend my sincere gratitude to the MRR volunteers and everyone involved in making the event a resounding success. It was a proud moment to see my signature on each winner's certificate! Thank you, MRR, for this distinguished opportunity. I am thrilled to have played a part in recognizing the achievements of our running community. Congratulations 🎊 to all nominees and winners🏆
