This idea was conceived 30 years ago when I was a student at Rutgers up all night trying to write a paper on it. It took all this time, but it all feels perfect right now: the right festival, the right time and definitely the right musicians. Please join me as I finally give this concept life🙂 #allenginsberg #howl #fringefestival #jazz #onstage 📸 @whiskey_diet 🖼️ @vrcevans

This just in… AP&Me adds another fringe festival and another country to its list of appearances. This time we’re headed to Gothenburg, Sweden, a city I adore for a festival that inspires me. This makes two different solo, storytelling shows in the same week and I hope I can handle it! Ticketing information to come… @gbgfringe @balticnordicfringenetwork #asburypark #newjersey #jetsettingfolksinger #theatre #livemusic

Super excited that this is happening! Sorry for what seems like a repost, but I put up the wrong copy. Happy to announce that I’m debuting a brand new show, Vignettes, at @gbgfringe this coming September, being welcomed to buy an incredible venue @kaffe_kid I first played back in 2024. This will be my fourth solo, storytelling show to make a debut at a Fringe festival outside the US, and I couldn’t be prouder. New stories and characters, music, love, misguided purposes…and harmonica playing. Tickets on sale at the Gothenburg Fringe website. 📸 @whiskey_diet Poster design @vrcevans

Make sure you prepare well! Water will be provided, but it does go by fast. Sunscreen is also advised because there are many outdoor activities, including a dunk tank, bonfire, and other outdoor games. There will also be merch and food stands, which except both cash and card. Aside from that, we can't wait for these kick ass bands to play here and we can't wait to host another shipwreck show for you guys!! 🎉🎉🎉🎸🐒🦜🥂🐢🎤🎶🎸🎉🎉🎉 #shipwreckshow #localbands #garageshow #manasquannj

And we are back at @theshowroomap in Asbury Park for another round of Asbury Park & Me. This summer edition will be a bit different as there will be new songs and fresh stories so if you’ve been before, it may feel like a brand new show :-) we’ve got a lot going on around here so also on the horizon are a handful of other really exciting announcements so stay tuned for those. As I’m getting older, there are lots of different ideas and I always wanted to try out but either talk myself out of or maybe just didn’t have the time or resources to dig into them. So? So that means now I have decided to invest energy into bringing some of these ideas to life, this show, AP&Me I really got that mindset going a couple years back. I’m 52 years old and I’ve got 32 years sober, what do I have to lose? Anyway, tickets will be on sale soon… #asburypark #livetheatre #jetsettingfolksinger #storyteller #raconteur 🎨 @vrcevans

Finally diving into some of my Garden State Film Festival red carpet footage… and there was no better question to start with. 🎬 I asked filmmakers: How does it feel to be part of GSFF? A week later, I’m still thinking about how much passion, gratitude, and love for independent film came through in these answers. This is why festivals matter. And trust me… there’s more from GSFF on the way. 👀 #GardenStateFilmFestival #GSFF #GSFFNJ #IndieFilm #cinephilemike

Final(?) postcard from Asbury Park and the Garden State Film Festival! @gardenstatefilmfestival Here are only some of the incredible folks I got to hang out with, screen their films and be inspired by their creativity and tenacity! Special shout out to J.R. Stokes @sidscinematics and Peter Konsevith @peter_konsevitch for helping me to “come out of my shell” and sing karaoke. As most of my friends know, I’m usually very shy and reserved. Onward and upwards, my filmmaker friends. Cheers until next time! Grateful for Ed Shin @shinbonephotography and his awesome photos plus these fine folks: @elenadclark @amarino123 @hannah_banana527 @brandon_leventhal @forteframes @tciorciari60 @itsahnswee @vrcevans @mb_coronaevans @mgrossman215 @tcavana136 @tombenteymedia @lindacollins.nyc @laurarossofilms @stefanodafre @anthony_robert_grasso @theeveaustin1 @daryldenner_filmdirector @liurma_ruiz @kdiskin @becfordyce @lauren_concar_sheehy @dumbletonsmovie #dumbletonsmovie #gardenstatefilmfestival #gratefulfilmmaker #indiecomedy
