Día de Muertos: tres días, dos lugares, una celebración: Bring your children to enjoy vibrant folkloric dance performances by the children and youth of VROCC’s Ballet Folklórico Latinoamericano, featuring traditional dances from El Salvador and Mexico!

Join us on Sunday, November 1, at 10 a.m. for the dance performances, followed by a parade featuring the Hot Tamale Brass Band.

Enjoy live music from noon to 4:30 p.m. The celebration closes at 5 p.m.

Want to honor someone special at this year's Día de los Muertos ofrenda?

Bring a framed photo to the ofrenda from Friday, October 30, at 6 p.m. to Sunday, November 1, at 5 p.m. The ofrenda remains on display until Monday night.

Can't make it? Drop off your framed photo at Chelsea Public Library, 569 Broadway, during regular hours by Thursday, October 29, before closing. A collection box will be available; ask the front desk for help.

Only framed photos and LED candles are accepted.

Pick up your photo after the festival on November 1 or during Monday's breakdown. You may also pick it up at the Verónica Robles Cultural Center after 3 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, or leave it for next year.

Trae una foto enmarcada a la ofrenda desde el viernes 30 de octubre a las 6 p. m. hasta el domingo 1 de noviembre a las 5 p. m. Estará en exhibición hasta el lunes por la noche.

¿No puedes ir? Deja tu foto enmarcada en la Biblioteca Pública de Chelsea, 569 Broadway, durante su horario habitual hasta el jueves 29 de octubre, antes del cierre. Habrá una caja para dejar las fotos. Si necesitas ayuda, pregunta en recepción.

Solo se aceptan fotos enmarcadas y velas LED.

Recoge tu foto el 1 de noviembre al terminar el festival o el lunes durante el desmontaje. También puedes recogerla en el Centro Cultural Verónica Robles después de las 3 p. m., de martes a jueves, o dejarla para el próximo año.

El Veronica Robles Cultural Center (VROCC) celebrará el Día de Muertos con dos eventos gratuitos al norte de Boston. Habrá una exhibición de ofrendas en el ICA Watershed de East Boston del sábado 31 de octubre al lunes 2 de noviembre, y un festival al aire libre en Chelsea el domingo 1 de noviembre.

Esta es la edición 14 de la celebración, organizada junto al Consulado de México en Boston, la City of Boston, la ciudad de Chelsea y el ICA Watershed. VROCC la describe como la celebración de Día de Muertos de varios días más grande de Nueva Inglaterra.

🇸🇻 CULTURA Y TRADICIÓN SALVADOREÑA. El Veronica Robles Cultural Center (@vroccboston) organiza el Festival Viva El Salvador 2026 este 10 de octubre desde las 5:30 PM hasta las 9:00 PM en 282 Meridian St., East Boston. La jornada cultural reunirá comida auténtica, música en vivo, danzas folclóricas y actividades familiares.

El encuentro busca rendir homenaje a la riqueza de las tradiciones cuscatlecas y promover el intercambio comunitario en el corazón de East Boston. Además de la muestra gastronómica, el evento ofrecerá dinámicas recreativas diseñadas para niños y jóvenes durante toda la tarde.

Las personas interesadas en asistir pueden adquirir sus entradas de manera digital o consultar más detalles a través del portal oficial vrocc.org y las plataformas del centro. La institución continúa fortaleciendo la presencia de las expresiones latinoamericanas en la región.

With my birthday coming up on November 20—the same day we commemorate the Mexican Revolution—I can’t help but smile at seeing my photo on a Boston bus alongside the words

“From Revolution to Revolutionary.” 🇲🇽🇺🇸🚌

A Mexican woman, wearing her mariachi suit and sombrero, becoming part of the story Boston tells about itself.

Is it a coincidence? A beautiful twist of fate? Or was it somehow meant to be? I’m not sure what to call it, but it touches my heart and invites me to reflect on my journey and my purpose in life.

To me, this connection is about honoring our roots while helping shape the future.

Through music, culture, entrepreneurship and community, I get to carry a piece of México and Latinoamérica with me and share it with the city I call home.

As another birthday approaches, I feel grateful for my heritage, for Boston, and for everyone who has been part of this journey.

I also stand tall with pride in all I have accomplished to elevate the image of Latinos and celebrate the richness of Latino culture throughout New England.

Here’s to celebrating where we come from—and everything we can create together. ❤️
