Premonición portrait of Vanessa before this all began in February. I am so grateful for those with whom I have shared real connection with during this pandemic- friends, babies, animals, family and various support circles. Every day is new. You can always alter your field of perception. Love and gratitude to you right now for sharing space with me during the highs and lows.

Much love to @vrod176 for sending me this photo she took of me in about 30 years at the 2050 Puerto Rican Day telling my grandkids I got to spin at the parade a couple times while they roll their eyes and ask for money to buy coconut ice cream. Vanessa, thank you for the beautiful words you included. I appreciate you and your contributions to our storyline as a people too. I don't often get compliments, so I cherish them deeply when I do. It definitely healed my hurt about many things I have felt about our community and the crabs in our bucket. Understand all I do is born out of a love of my people and not for self serving reasons. The rush to use words like “community” while only doing so when it benefits you renders the reality that we find ourselves in as a “community”. The real always rises. Love is love. #proofoflife #jibarosoy

That feeling when it's Friday and you know "Breathing Room" is coming on later..
So grateful to all our community that has been tuning in from all over the country (and the world) to come dance with us. @diondecibels and yours truly supplying your house-slipper soundtrack.

Love and gratitude for this life! These are some of my favorite shots from @roots.healing dream retreat captured by @vrod176 💜 we created a powerful and beautiful altar of our ancestors as we honored and celebrated them. my abuelas and titis were def with me as I cooked an all vegan menu for 12 amazing women... a gentle reminder that food is medicine. 💖 grateful for this time together!

Celebrated my 50th birthday last week in community with these phenomenal women at @roots.healing ‘s WOC Yoga reTreat in Joshua Tree. Still feeling incredibly moved by the vulnerability and transparency in which everyone showed up, co-created, and shared with. I’m grateful for each individual and for all the ancestors that conspired to bring us together. I was well nourished physically, spiritually, and mentally over the four days we spent together. It was magical and a beautiful glimpse into what’s to come.✨✨✨🧘🏽‍♀️🙏🏾💓✨✨✨ 📸1-4 by @vrod176
