I may have missed homecoming. But I did NOT miss the opportunity to celebrate my sisters.🧡💙

While HOMEcoming may have happened without me, my HEART was right there on that field.💎💎💎💎 Folks, one thing you must know about @vsu_essenceoftroy is - the LEGACY doesn’t stop, the sisterhood doesn’t fade, and the excellence NEVER misses a beat! 🔥🔥🔥

To my fellow Essence of Troy dancers: YA’LL CRUSHED IT! The energy. The presence. The showmanship. The way you commanded that field! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 You reminded everyone that this is so much bigger than a performance. This is tradition. THIS is family. This is sisterhood. This is the Trojan legacy in motion. 💃🏽

And while I celebrate you, I’m also thinking about what comes NEXT. I’m increasingly focused on how we mobilize resources, cultivate strategic partnerships, and create SUSTAINABLE funding that strengthens VSU and the programs that make it GREATER. Because supporting our band family means supporting more than the music. It means investing in the students, the performers, the training, the travel, the equipment, the opportunities, and the experiences that shape their college journeys and lifelong memories.

THE TALENT IS ALREADY IN THE BAND. LET’S MAKE SURE THE RESOURCES ARE SUSTAINED, TOO. 💰🎺

I’m proud of Essence of Troy. I’m proud of the @vsuband . And I’m committed to exploring how we can turn Trojan Explosion pride into meaningful investment in the people who carry this legacy forward. I missed the field this year, but trust me - I’m still in the fight for the legacy.💯
