First Vermont Law residency in the books with a little vacation time. 🌲 The past week has been filled with putting names to (physical) faces, networking, learning, and rejuvenation. Now back to my hole as I prep for midterms. 👩🏻‍💻📖

Hi everyone! It’s been a minute (read year).

I just had a notification pop-up that one year ago was my last day of dog camp. One whole year! I wanted to let you know how it’s going- since one year ago I started the transition from full-time entrepreneur, mother, and community volunteer to full-time student and mother. I literally transplanted my beloved plants, rehomed our chickens, found land to lease for my sheep, and moved my family into a tiny apartment. It’s been an adjustment to say the least- but I can honestly say it was the right decision.

I just completed a “Biodiversity and the Law” class and I’m sure it will come as no surprise that I now have my sights set on a career protecting animals.

I’m asked often how I balance being a full-time JD student and a mother. The short answer is women are amazing, and so are all the people who support me. I’m grateful to my close friends and family for the support- and I know we all share the goal of bettering the future.

I miss the dogs like crazy, and I love seeing them here on Instagram or when past clients reach out to let me know how they are. I also carry many daily reminders of each pup- more than you would think. Certain trees, birds, rocks, water, plants, and weather remind me of moments with different pack members.

If you haven’t reached out- I’d love to hear how you’re doing! And know that I’m busy- but I’m great. I love Vermont Law and Graduate School, it is truly a special place. I’m so incredibly privileged to be here. 🤍

You do it all! Wrapping up law school while maintaining a farm (with Pat’s help of course), taking care of everybody before yourself, remodeling a house piece by piece, working full time and most importantly growing a baby. That’s my sister! To new adventures and success
