From double seated,
here's a simple way to enter an ankle lock without using the shin bolo.

I start by controlling my partner's top knee and bottom ankle. Then I bring both knees under my armpit and point them to the outside, creating tension on the knee line.

If my partner does nothing, I throw my leg over and sit up into double trouble.

If they turn their knee to the outside to escape, I post on the hip, switch to butterfly ashi, create the angle, and finish the ankle lock.

Which variation would you use? 👇

Save this for your next leg lock session.

Luo Dexiu is the kind of teacher who can teach a whole group of people and have each and every one improve at their own level.

As he makes the concepts overly clear and obvious, anyone who practices any movement, martial and/or fighting art, will hugely benefit from training a weekend with him.

If you don't know him, just search google and youtube and you'll find more than enough to get you excited about this weekend.
