I couldn’t pass up the chance to get a painting of my son! Thank you Vui’s Juice Care and The Open Lab Art for being the BEST and letting me and Fretty stop by! It’s already made it on the fridge 🤩🫶🏼😍 🐾

6 months ago today…
I left behind my life in Madison, Wisconsin as I rolled into Nashville, Tennessee in a moving truck with a dog, big hair, bigger feelings, and absolutely no idea what exactly was going to happen. 😂😬🤯

I just knew I was ready for something different. More creativity. More possibility. More of a life that actually felt like mine.

Then Nashville was all like, “Let’s go, girls.” 💄✨👢

Since then…

I relocated myself to a new state, started a completely new career and became Director of Operations & Creative Development at a recording studio owned by a Grammy award-winning music engineer & producer, joined the Nashville Songwriters Association, started writing again, helped build some really exciting new creative ventures, worked around absurdly talented people, ended up adjacent to projects I never imagined I’d touch, met some of the coolest people 🤩, walked down the street from my home to catch incredible shows, made so many new friends, had some entertaining dating experiences, as well as moments where I’ve looked around and thought, “How is this my life now?”.

There have been some hard parts too. Worry. Exhaustion. Missing pieces of my old life while building a new one. The very real growing pains that come with completely reinventing your life at 40.

And I think that might be the part I’m most proud of.

I moved here during a season when it would have been so much easier to stay comfortable. Instead, I chose the unknown.

And somewhere in all of it, I started feeling like myself again.

Louder. Braver. Weirder. More creative. More excited. More willing to say yes before I’ve figured out how the hell I’m going to pull it off.

I moved here at 40 because I had this stubborn little feeling that my life was just getting started.

I think I was right… and DAMN, the plot got good. 🦋✨😍 For the first time in a long time, I’m genuinely excited and curious about what happens next.

Happy six months, Nashville. 🥂
You’ve already given me one hell of a story. And I know we’re just getting started. ✨💋

Photo dump but I’ll tell you a story ❤️

my husband + my baby and I moved cities.

It’s been the most beautiful, messy, imperfect, full of blessings, busy, crazy, fun adventure

Some days are hard because we have left family back home

But God has been filling the gaps 😭

Pause — my son turned ONE :)

Literally so surreal being a mom for a whole year

I am so grateful for his life 💙

Okay back to the story — I am so grateful for the new and old faces on here :)

Tell me are you liking the new music that’s come out?
which one do you like best so far?

what are you wanting to see more of? Worship covers? The process behind writing music?

Reflecting on this season — God has really really really met us when we lacked

In every way possible God has provided

He’s really stretched us in our faith and walk with him ❤️

A few things I’ve learned about the tough days are..

1. Feel all the emotions
2. Give him thanks ( I know sounds counterintuitive )

Because I can’t tell you how the trials have really stretched us

Like really made us rely on God

And on the other side of the trial is realizing that God is still faithful.. in the prayers he hasn’t answered and the ones he did ❤️ The end.

Very very grateful for this. Thank you so much @spotify 🙏🏽❤️

This morning, I headed out and quickly realized where I was headed was actually not scheduled for today…then, I had the most unexpected beautiful morning…I pulled up to @vuisjuicecafe and sat outside and enjoyed my favorite blue açaí bowl and worked on @doeraeme.designs until my iPad died…

I was so productive…and I’m so grateful I didn’t get frustrated, go home, and sleep the day away…

Sometimes we need simple reminders that a change of scenery can make a world of difference…

There’s something really beautiful about getting people in the same room and finding space to pause, connect, and reflect 🤍

The first Soul Goals Pop-Up Experience at Vui’s Juice Cafe was exactly that, and I’m feeling incredibly grateful for everyone who stopped by, shared a part of their story, picked up a book, added something to the gratitude board, or simply took a few minutes on a random Thursday to drop in and reflect ❤️

Because that’s really what The Soul Goals is about!

Not having it all figured out….

Not chasing some perfect version of life….

It’s more about paying attention to the smaller moments, being present for the folks around us, and knowing we’re enough, we’re worthy, and that we’re capable of living a full life!

Thank you, @vuisjuicecafe, for opening up your beautiful space for the experience! And thank you to everyone who came through and made this day what it was!

Here’s to more conversations, more connection, and more gratitude 🫶🏼

Until next time ✨
