A small surprise.

Today I’m releasing my debut record, Faller. It’s available now on all streaming platforms, and in Dolby Atmos on supported services.

I’ve kept this record almost entirely to myself for the past couple of years. It feels strange, exciting and honestly quite emotional to finally share it.

Faller was written in the weeks before, and finished in the months after, the sudden passing of my father. Releasing it today, on the second anniversary of his death, feels like the only day it could ever have come out.

At its heart, Faller is about grief, loss and everything that follows. But more than anything, I think it’s a record about hope. About the quiet belief that, even after the hardest moments in life, we can keep moving forwards. One step at a time.

If you spend a few minutes with it, I hope it finds a place in your life, however small. That’s all I’ve ever wanted from these songs.

There will be a very limited pressing of 50 vinyl records available to pre-order through my website over the next few weeks. I’m also hoping I’ll get the chance to play some of these songs live one day in the future…..

I couldn’t have made this record without some incredible people and the collaboration of many dear friends and loved ones. Our second full length, Acts of Harm, is available on all platforms now. It’s impossible to explain how much of ourselves we put into making this record, and it’s totally surreal to see it exist as a real, tangible thing. Thanks for sticking with us, we’ll try not to take so long with the next one.

Something we feel really passionate about, is alternative routes into industry and taking the less walked path.

There is no right route into industry, only what’s right for you.

Internships are amazing, we’re definitely not disputing that, but are you going to fail with out? Hell no.

But the reality is, there are far more creatives at the start of their careers in need of experience, than organisations and agencies able to offer it. Hence people take advantage and yada yada yada, unpaid internships is a whole other thing for a whole other day.

But if you’re feeling disheartened that you haven’t managed to lock in a placement yet, or panicking about what the future may have in store - give this a read.
