Little photo dump from the 3300 mile road trip this week. 244,000 mile 99 lightning still on its original motor and transmission. It was a blast , from devils tower to mt rushmore. Pikes peak, through four corners, monument valley, back up through nevada through yosemite and back to the coast, from santa cruz down to La on the pch. Some prefer to fly but i will always take a good old fashioned road trip when i can.

The last time Black Phoenix sat in this driveway was November 2021 before the floodwaters changed everything.

For years, this car became more than just a build. It became a reminder of loss, setbacks, unfinished chapters, and the fight to keep pushing forward when it would’ve been easier to walk away.

Most people saw a flood-damaged WRX.
I saw something worth saving.
And now… she’s home again.

That first drive felt surreal. The second she came to life, it was obvious she had unfinished business. Black Phoenix came alive with a vengeance and begged to be back on the road where she belongs.

From the water, the Phoenix rises.
And her flames burn hotter than the flood that tried to erase her.

But this is only the beginning.

Now the break-in begins again, and so does the transformation. The version you see today is not her final form. Black Phoenix will make her full rebirth debut at Driven on June 13th.

Huge thank you to everyone helping bring this resurrection to life.

Most importantly, thank you to my employer and longest-standing sponsor @dalesautoservice — without your support, none of this would have been possible.

Huge thank you's to:

Things are in full force for show season. We want to thank all our partners and sponsors who work closely with us to make all this possible.

The Unseen Show Team, proudly powered by Dale’s Auto Service, is excited to announce that we will be attending the @tunerbashcanada Season Opener alongside @young_psychos

We’re starting the season strong with an incredible lineup, and this event marks more than just another show for us. We’ll be sharing some major news regarding an upcoming collaboration, something we’ve been working on behind the scenes and are excited to finally reveal.

At the Dale’s booth, you can expect to see a curated selection of some of the finest builds in the Lower Mainland — vehicles that represent the level of quality, performance, and attention to detail that both Unseen and Dale’s stand behind.

We invite everyone attending to come by and connect with the team:• Check out our featured vehicles up close• Meet the people behind the builds• Pick up exclusive Dale’s Auto Service swag• Enter our event raffle in support of a charitable cause

This is a great opportunity to be part of the community, support a good cause, and get a first look at what’s coming next from Unseen and Dale’s.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there and kicking off the season the right way.

We have officially drawn the winning ticket for our raffle basket giveaway.

The selected winner has 24 hours from the time of this announcement to come forward and claim their prize. If the prize is not claimed within this timeframe, a new ticket will be drawn. This process will continue until a confirmed winner is reached.

This raffle was organized in support of the seniors displaced from the Chartwell retirement residence in Mission, BC due to a fire. All proceeds from this initiative are being matched dollar-for-dollar, ensuring that every contribution has double the impact in assisting those affected during this challenging time.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated, donated, and helped spread the word. Your support plays a meaningful role in strengthening our community and providing assistance where it is needed most.

Thank you for standing with us.

We had @vybrant.ca’s Toyota 4Runner Venture Edition in the shop for an Ironman 4x4 IM2.5 suspension lift, and this is the kind of upgrade that actually changes how the truck works, not just how it looks.

The IM2.5 kit is built around Ironman’s Foam Cell Pro shocks, which means increased oil capacity, better heat control, and consistent damping whether you’re commuting, loaded down with gear, or crawling through rough terrain. The added lift improves ground clearance, approach angles, and overall control, while maintaining a planted, predictable ride on-road. This setup is designed for real use, especially for overland and backcountry travel, not lightweight spacer nonsense.

Ironman also threw in traction boards with this kit for our customer, which is one of those things you hope you never need but are very glad to have when conditions turn ugly. Mud, sand, snow, or loose gravel, they’re a simple recovery tool that can save a long walk and a worse phone call.

In the video, we walk through the install and give you a detailed look at the components so you can see exactly what goes into a quality suspension system. No shortcuts, no mystery parts, just a clean install and a 4Runner that’s built to go farther and work harder.

This 4Runner Venture came in for scheduled maintenance and off-road prep. Toyota builds these trucks tough, but keeping fluids fresh and accessories installed correctly is what keeps them reliable on the road and dependable on the trail.

Services performed:
• Full synthetic oil, lube, and filter service
• Front differential fluid service
• Rear differential fluid service
• Installed Toytec rear differential breather kit
• Transfer case fluid exchange
• Wired winch system

Why these services matter:
Fresh synthetic oil protects the engine under daily driving and heavy loads. Differential and transfer case services are critical on 4WD vehicles, especially ones that see off-road use, as fluid breakdown leads to premature wear. The Toytec rear differential breather kit helps prevent water intrusion during deep water crossings or muddy conditions. Proper winch wiring ensures safe, reliable operation when recovery situations arise. This is preventative maintenance and functional upgrades done the right way.

Why Dale’s Auto Service:
At Dale’s Auto Service, we won’t steer you wrong. We service and upgrade trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles with attention to detail and real-world experience. From routine maintenance to accessory installs, we make sure your vehicle is ready for whatever you throw at it.

Huge thank you to our amazing customers—you turned my hobby into my career, and I couldn’t have done it without you. Fun fact—Brookswood Tint is as old as I am! We’re proud to be going strong after 37 years.

Also new employee joining the team soon… pay negotiable in diapers and milk 🍼😄
