Power AND Speed can be built!

Power isn’t just strength.

It’s how fast you can produce force, which is trainable.

This session’s focus: work on Rate of force development.

🔺 Aqua bags add an unstable, shifting load, forcing nervous system to recruit stabilizing muscles

🔺 Hurdles train reactive strength = short ground contact time to absorb & redirect force instantly

🔺 Sprint work = force application❗️

It’s been one of the true privileges of coaching, watching these guys grow over the years, seeing their ups and downs and how they worked through them. …. And now next-level-athletes and on to the next chapter!

Missing @aj_curry__ in this pic…..already at college!

Well it’s official - Class of 2026 Signing off 🫡

It’s always bittersweet sending another class of seniors into the world but exciting to watch as they embark on a new journey and the next chapter of their lives.

All of these young men are college bound and a few blessed enough to continue their careers in the game.

It’s been an absolute pleasure being your coach over the last 2-4yrs and can’t wait to see what God has in store for each one of you !!!

Love you guys and don’t forget to check in 🥹🫡

The summer of 8th grade as incoming freshman I made a promise to these guys (as well as the current team at that time), that we would change the culture of UC Baseball to a winning one! In 5yrs we’ve done just that !!! It’s taken a lot of hard work and would never have happened without the players, parents and staff buying into a system of development both on the field and in the gym.

With that being said, it’ll take just as much effort to maintain and continue the growth and upward trajectory of this organization!!! It’s hard work getting to the top boys but it’s even harder work staying there !!! We still have a lot of “kinks” to work out but I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done thus far !!!

This also means that any and all athletes looking to play ball at UC going forward need to have a D1 work ethic and mentality to survive in this system!!! Congratulations on laying the ground work for what I plan to be a powerhouse baseball program in the very near future !!!

Congratulations on Back2Back CIF Championships AND Back2Back California State Regional Appearances!!! Now let’s do what it takes to make it a 3peat !!!

IT’S THE TAKEOVER, THEY CANT STOP US 😤😤😤
