@w3tkiss Wet Kiss are the brilliantly indefatigable, female-fronted Melbourne band bringing the chaos, the characters and the attitude. Fronted by Brenna O, this cast features her floppy-eared plaything Daniel Dog, Al Amour on piano, Ben Addiction on bass, Ju Sugar on lead guitar, Ruby Rabbit on drums and Agnes Wailin' on vocals. A cast of characters quite unlike any other. While living together in an old warehouse in Coburg, the band began recording their debut album, developing a sound that draws on distant traces of the Velvet Underground’s enigmatic photo-punk and the nonchalant sleaze of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The result? A little grit, a little glamour and plenty of attitude. Now, Wet Kiss are joining us to celebrate a very special milestone, 100 YEARS OF THORNBURY THEATRE! A century of live music, unforgettable nights and artists taking to our stage and we're celebrating the only way we know how, with an incredible lineup of live music. Come be part of the celebration and help us mark 100 years of Thornbury Theatre! TIX ON SALE NOW >> LINK IN BIO

NEW ANNOUNCE | 100 Years Of The Thornbury Theatre, Oct 31 The Thornbury Theatre is celebrating its 100th anniversary with an incredible night of music on Saturday October 31st. Presented by Yours & Owls, the 100-year celebration brings together Acopia, EXEK, Wet Kiss, Media Puzzle, Twine, Blue Communications and Supernew for a lineup that reflects the venue’s current place in Melbourne’s renowned live music scene. The celebration comes as the theatre enjoys an incredible run of live shows, including four sold-out nights with Australian icons The Drones. International artists like John Maus, Cass McCombs and Cola have also hit the Thornbury stage this year, with plenty more still to come, including New Zealand’s Princess Chelsea bringing her Australian debut tour to the theatre, followed by Mudhoney and Spike Fuck later in the month. Originally opened in the 1920s as a picture theatre, the building later became a ballroom and reception venue before taking on its present life as a contemporary performance space. Its ornate plasterwork and grand marble staircase remain, while locals’ memories of films and Macedonian dances inside its walls now sit alongside world-class entertainment and live music. We’re excited to celebrate a venue that has played a rich part in Melbourne’s live music history and is still thriving, bringing local artists, touring acts and their audiences together under one roof.
