It’s not a pursuit of #perfection. Life is the #journey; growing into the fullest and most #beautiful version of you. 🌱 You are shaped by all of your experiences - you can’t always control the places life might take you. But you can always choose the lens you choose to view it from. 🔭 This world is so big and our life is just one. 🙇🏾‍♂️ Don’t waste it doing what other’s have dreamed for you, but chase those #visions that God has personally planted in you. “The first airplane was built in a bicycle shop.” - @bishopjakes Do not let the trends and wind patterns of today’s #culture limit what is #possible in your life. It’s root word: #cult - defines as obsession; or a religious devotion - #choosewisely what you devote to. Be 100% yourself and not the watered-down expectations of the status quo.

Sometimes you’ve got to go through #darkness before you can find that person. But life isn’t meant to be lived alone and the #love from others get you through it. And once you’ve made your way out that tunnel, within you, will be a place called #peace. #KeepMovingForward and don’t look back! #proverbs36 #takeflight #shootpastthestars #newmusicotw

My Mother’s Day was a normal day, sprinkled with wonderful surprises🎊 It started with purple pancakes & breakfast in bed...which I moved to the kitchen to eat with Jackson and Jonah. Caroline(jacksons gf)helped make this all happen💜 A mimosa made with Tito’s, because they couldn’t find an open bottle of champagne...well, duh!! I got some gifts and flowers. Then it was laundry, tuxedo shopping for Jackson, a couple errands, explaining to Jonah that “Whomp!! There it is” originally was not an ice cream commercial but a requirement for every night out since 1993, urgent care for my sinus infection, then home to “Some guy” 💙making dinner. Followed by some more laundry, cleanup and the Braves game!!! I got to talk to Jacob. He went to his host family’s house after church. So thankful for The Conners!!! And I got a sweet message from one of my extras, that I had the honor to walk across the football field with at his Senior game a few years ago😊 It is definitely a day to reflect on all the blessings, but also reminds you of the losses🦋🦋I am so thankful for all the positive women in my life...whether you are mothers (biological, adopted and foster), caretakers, teachers, mentors and those that are no longer here on earth...there so many wonderful lessons learned from you all💜#grateful #boymom
#livebecauseyoucan 💜

Rima and I both drank out of our purple mugs yesterday. We got them for each other 6 years ago, my first year of being a single parent and for her...well the mug says it all😏💜

**Later, I will share the one gift Jonah made me...🥺

@montyy1028 thank you brother and apologize for my lateness 😅.“I am a black man… I build… I don’t tear down other black men!… I have felt the pain of being torn down and I have decided I will be deliberate about building others! All too often, we men find it easier to criticize each other instead.
