Today, I heard the last fourteen years of my life in a chime.
I started collecting watches in 2012, after reading Patek Philippe’s patent for a perpetual calendar split-seconds chronograph. I remember being completely fascinated. It opened a door to a world that, without knowing it at the time, would become such an important part of my life.
For many years, though, I was never brave enough to truly follow where that passion wanted to take me. Maybe it was humility. Maybe fear. Maybe I simply felt that I shouldn’t allow myself to want certain things too much. So I always held myself back. I limited the time I spent on this hobby. I limited what I allowed myself to buy. Even when there were watches I deeply loved, I often found a reason not to pursue them.
A few years ago, a serious health issue changed something in me. It reminded me of a truth we all know, but somehow manage to forget: tomorrow is not promised. And I realized that constantly postponing the things that bring us joy is, in its own way, postponing life.
So I stopped being afraid.
I started spending more time with the thing I loved. I started collecting with my heart rather than with fear. I bought the watches that fascinated me, moved me, and made me feel something.
It has been one of the best decisions of my life.
But strangely enough, the watches themselves turned out to be only a small part of what I was collecting. Along the way, I collected friendships. Memories.
Conversations that stayed with me. Dinners that lasted too long. Trips I will never forget. And relationships with people who changed the way I see watches, craftsmanship, friendship and life itself.
Somehow, the F.P. Journe boutique in Geneva became a place I genuinely call home. And there are other people and places in this world that now feel the same way.

15202ST vs 3700 💙

Two iconic watches designed by @geraldgentaofficial: the Royal Oak in 1972 and the Nautilus in 1976.

These timepieces not only revolutionized the watch industry but also redefined the concept of the luxury sports watch, helping both brands navigate the Quartz Crisis.

A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to win an auction at @monacolegendgroup, and here we are… A beautiful 1979 Nautilus 3700 has joined my collection.

Now I have two legends side by side, and you can’t imagine how happy I am to share this picture with you today 🥰

💃🏽 En primicia mundial @patekphilippe

“Flamenco” ref. 992/198J-001 Rare Handcrafts 2026
