Saturday’s cold wind didn’t stop our Climate Bike Ride with @wabadc !!! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴

We started at the Minnesota Ave Metro station, visited Anacostia River wetlands at Kingman & Heritage Islands, went by the RFK stadium campus, stopped by the Amazon e-cargo bike hub, and rode through East Potomac Park!

Don’t miss our next tour!

Earlier this fall, on a perfect September evening, we hosted a tour along the Metropolitan Branch Trail to explore what it has meant to the area and how it’s helped spur economic development.

This trail exists because advocates, community leaders, and government agencies all stepped up. The tour was made possible thanks to our co-hosts: @wabadc, RISE Prince George’s, Blue Line Corridor Coalition, and @veomobility Special thanks to @mrprealty, @ddotdc, @noma.bid, @railstotrails, and ANC 5F chair Joe Bishop-Henchman for your help!

Don’t miss our next tour and take a part in making another major regional trail a reality.

Come walk with us along the future Central Avenue Connector Trail on Saturday, October 24th, at 10 a.m. RSVP in bio.

When complete, the Central Avenue Connector Trail will run from the DC border all the way to Downtown Largo, connecting four Metro stations, neighborhoods, parks, schools, and local businesses.

It’s an easy walk along existing sidewalks and paths, co-hosted alongside RISE Prince George’s, the Blue Line Corridor Coalition, @lisc_dc, @thecapitalmarket20743, and @wabadc.

So join us Saturday, October 24th. We hope to see you there!

Shore up the river bank from erosion but don’t destroy this great park, Mr. President

Can’t believe Hains Point might not be there for cyclists in the future.

It is a safe place for cyclists, runners and other outdoor activities!

Hey #DC! Find your people during Community Week! All week long, communities across the city are opening their doors: run clubs, book clubs, yoga, trivia, mahjong, movie nights, and more. Go out and meet new people. They could be your forever friends (or more, you never know). Browse the full calendar of gatherings at www.communityweek.co/dc!

Join us in Boston on Oct 25 or DC on Nov 15. More than a ride and walk, RFYL pushes for specific changes to honor those lost to traffic violence. It’s amazing how people with power react to hundreds of us on the road, armed with the truth and steeled by the fires of our love. #rideforyourlife #safestreets #visionzero #massbikes #familiesforsafestreets

Another look back at a busy 30 days. The people in these frames are working hard to make the world a better place. It’s a privilege to share these spaces with them and try to create a record.
Right up until November 5, 2024, I was an avid golfer. I woke up on November 6 thinking: I don’t have time for that shit. Find something better to do with your time.
Here it is.
Something better to do with my time.

A very full 30 days. More than 2,500 photographs, a lot of miles, a lot of faces, and more than a few moments I’m glad I was there to witness.
A few favorites.
