Home to Miami’s best sushi, no contest. Quietly, humbly ruled by Hanzo Sushi. His blades, his rice, his fish.
Unfussy perfection, hidden in plain sight.

It’s where I took my first bite of Flyin’ Hyppo’s Elote-licious pizza with the boys and everything I thought I knew about pizza burned down in a blaze of roasted corn,
Cilantro, pickled red onions, cotija, tajín.
Built atop Jesse’s flakiest, crispiest dough.

It’s where I sank my teeth into Pin Pan Pollo’s double fried wings. Forever the reigning champs, shatter-crisp and juicy as hell. That Shojo’s-exclusive karaage will be my final taste on closing day.

Where KRSP slung a burger dripping in my guava-filled dreams.

Where Japanese soul food poured from the Yokais’ hungry hands.

Where Ahmay’s Burmese street food brought me into a whole new world.

Where Chote Burger showed me the ways of a Morir Soñando.

Where Mana’s hojicha tiramisu still haunts my palate.
Creamy, smoky, earthy. A ghost on my tongue.

And where Pika’s sweets offered soft euphoric landings after the loudest nights.
