✨ That’s a wrap on this year’s Royal Academy of Dance @royalacademyofdanceaustralia examinations at the studio!

We couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our NCD family and its wonderful bakers and chefs, and our dedicated teaching team.
A special thank you to Elise Frawley and Jane Evans, who have been by our students’ side every step of the way throughout their exam preparation and completion.

A huge congratulations to every student who took on the challenge. We are so incredibly proud of all that you’ve achieved. 💙

We are so proud of the way you represented yourselves and the college — with strength, artistry, and heart. The dedication, discipline, and passion behind each performance never goes unnoticed.

A very special congratulations to Will Mcmahon @will.iam.mcmahon on placing 2nd, and to Wahta @wahtaballet on receiving a Highly Commended in the 12–14yrs section — such incredible achievements and so well deserved ✨

Keep pushing, keep growing, and keep dancing with everything you have. We couldn’t be prouder.

This is where training turns into a pathway.

Meet Elise Frawley, Associate Artistic Director at the National College of Dance.

Elise works closely with dancers at a critical stage in their development — refining technique, strengthening performance quality and guiding them toward the next level.

As a Royal Academy of Dance examiner and qualified school teacher, she brings both educational expertise and industry-standard assessment into the studio.

She understands not just how to train dancers — but how to guide them with structure, clarity and care.

Because progressing in dance isn’t just about doing more.
It’s about being guided in the right way.

This is where dancers gain the direction, confidence and a clear pathway forward.

The Yurali Ensemble Ballet is back these April school holidays — but applications close VERY soon on April 1st!

This free program is open to First Nations young people aged 8–25 who are curious about exploring classical ballet.

Over three inspiring days, participants will work alongside and be mentored by First Nations artists, developing classical technique and repertoire in a supportive, culturally grounded space. The program will conclude with a small sharing for family and community.

Spots are limited and time is running out — don’t miss this opportunity.

If you know a young First Nations person who would love to be part of this, please share and encourage them to apply before April 1st. ✨🩰
