Black don’t crack.

It’s fitting that this post is on CP time, I wanted to take my sweet black ass time because I (we) deserve that. Our culture doesn’t do time constraints, we are people of the sun and you can set your watch to that.

I been thinking alot about the terminology “Black don’t crack” and most time folks think about it superficially because we age like wine! But it’s deeper than that really. Under all circumstances we never fold, the world has tried us in the most inhumane ways yet mentally, spiritually and metaphysically we are unbreakable. The CULTURE is persistence. Not in the black folks don’t feel pain way but in the rose from concrete kind of thing.

So remember that BLACK CULTURE is important and will always remain worthy of celebration.

And just know I’m on my way but im gone be late tho.

Welcome to the #BGAT project: “Black girls/ All types” is a call to celebrate the collective that is Black girl and women. We are not a monolith but we do the work for the collective good.

We invite others to celebrate their own unique OR common perspective as a Black girl/woman in this world through a short-run interview series.

@theglitchez looks forward to continuing this conversation in as many forms as possible.
