Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Championships Recap.

This past weekend I was lucky enough to travel to Pennsylvania and compete in my first ever college disc golf tournament! The two courses were a blast to play and the UC A and B teams were able to qualify for nationals!

The first round was singles at Moraine. Besides one hole, I was happy with how I played. My putting with the @dynamicdiscs @eric_mccabe Judges and my throwing both felt very solid. I came away with a respectable +4. The second round was the first of the two team rounds and it was at Slippery Rock University. For the most part, my partner and I did really well. I felt like I was very solid off the tee and I had a lot of trust in my ability to successfully set up the next shot.

The final round was the second team round and it was back at Moraine. The weather wasn’t the best. It was windy and rainy the entire time, so scoring wasn’t ideal. The team played well enough to secure our bid to nationals, and that was our priority coming in to the event.

I felt very confident with my @westsidegolfdiscs Tide and fortress, these two were consistently my go-to drivers. Alongside my @latitude_64 Max Wild which I used the majority of the time during the round at Slippery Rock. Go check them out at @bang_a_chain and use code BTAYLOR

2026 Mid Atlantic Regional🏆

D1 Singles Champion✅
D1 Team Champions✅
Distance Competition Champion✅

My first ever college disc golf tournament was so much fun! We were able to earn Liberty’s bid for Nationals and win D1 teams by 9 strokes!

I played very well during the singles round shooting -8 and winning by 3 strokes. I threw my Felons and Generals a ton out there through all the wooded fairways.

Thank you to Liberty and Coach Bowman for getting us out there and huge shoutout to my teammates @asellsdg @daniel_d_perry and @typeterson2911 for helping us win teams! I am already super excited for the next regional.

Thank you to my sponsors:

2026 Amateur Disc Golf World Championships-7th

First off I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me the ability to play the sport I love and blessing me with the opportunities he has given me to go all over and play. I want to start by saying the biggest thank you to all the tournament directors, volunteers, and pdga staff who made this event possible. This was genuinely probably the best ran event I have ever played and the courses were all so amazing and in amazing shape.
This week was a very surreal experience for me and I am truly humbled by everything I experienced at this event. A couple months ago after Nationals I found myself for the first time in my career with an injury that completely changed my game. At the beginning of summer I wasn’t even sure I was gonna be able to play the event and because of my inconsistent play I wasn’t sure if I would even make the cut, so coming into this week my goal was simple, play consistent good disc golf all week. Round one was a solid start followed by a super slow back nine putting me at -3 at Royalton with a 980 rated round which had me in 41st place. Coming into Bond lake I told myself to only play one shot at a time and never let myself linger on the last shot, good or bad. This was the mindset I needed and one I was able to maintain the rest of the tournament. Round two I played super solid and came in with a nice -8 1026 rated round!
Coming into round 3 I kept my mindset and played a bogey free -8 at Royalton putting me on chase card for round 4! Round 4 at Emory was another solid round coming in at -6 1013 rated.
Coming into the Finals at Bond Lake my game felt good and I was looking forward to playing on a super fun chase card with two great guys I met in earlier rounds @benson_graber and Austin Yoder. This round was the most fun I have ever had playing disc golf. Between the card, the gallery, and my amazing caddie @wakimura.j it was truly an amazing experience. So blessed for this tournament and everyone who supported me all week with kind messages. So blessed by this experience and excited to continue to grow my game! @pdga_amworlds

Year 2…

First off I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the ability to play this sport, be on this amazing team, and go to this amazing school. Although nationals didn’t finish out how we wanted I want to say I am so proud of @jonah.burdick @tberg1129 @kylesennett for all your guys hard work this year, it was a great season and we battle hard all year long. As for our team as a whole I am so proud of not just how you guys played at nationals but how you represented Christ every second of every round. I am so proud of this team and how this team felt more like family than anything else. As for the seniors this year, continue to do great things on and off the course, you will be missed. As for everyone coming back next year, continue to be the God centered team you are, I am very humbled and honored to be on this team with you all and I look forward to wha next year has for everyone.

As for me I learned a lot this year, I learned how being a leader doesn’t mean being the best or the strongest, it means being there for everyone, putting in the hours for your team, but most importantly being a disciple to everyone on your team. As for my play, it was lacking but I am more driven than ever to put in the hard work and the long hours to achieve the promise I made this program a year ago.

As for next year, it’s already time to get to work. God has big things planned for this team in the years to come I can feel it. For those on this team next year, let’s get to work. I love this family and I am excited for next season. Year 3 loading…

College Disc Golf National Championship 2026

I am so grateful for how the Lord blessed me this year. I joined this team just to have something to do, but ended up falling back in love with disc golf and gained a family in the process. To THE John Wall, I’ve never had a team that was more fun than y’all. We knew how to have fun first and compete second and that’s what helped us succeed and I’m gonna carry that with me and implement that into every team I’m on. Y’all were a blessing to be with this year. Tying for 3rd in MC2 for my first nationals was special and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with any other group. Much love boys, can’t wait to be back next year.

Short 2025 recap
Disc golf was put on the back burner as I focused on work, finances, and a busy training year with the Army.

Some of my favorite accomplishments:
I have a decent forehand now 🙌
I hit a career high rating of 970 which I’m hoping to carry into 2026
Got to see the @eagleswingsdiscgolf team and friends for the @discgolfprotour finale

I still got some great adventures with great friends, and that makes me happy!

Much love to all the support, and big thanks to my sponsors @prodigydisc @prodigydisc_battalionteam @cardinaldiscgolf @dryv_bagz

I’m excited to carry on these partnerships into 2026!

If you’re ever in the area to play New London Tech, make sure to hit me up 💪
