Olive didn’t have an easy start. She was surrendered in Georgia, came to New York sick with heartworm and badly underweight, and moved between foster homes for six months. Since March she has been with our family and friends in Park Slope and it has taken a village to foster one dog! Swipe to see how far she’s come. ➡️

She has a whole team rooting for her. What she needs now is a forever home.

Olive used to bark and lunge at every car, truck, bike and dog on our Brooklyn block. This week she joined a GoDoG pack walk with Steph, my dog Dougie and three new friends, and matched their pace the whole way. Then she went home and settled in with her Kong. 🐾

Meet Olive. 🧡

She rests her head on your lap and taps you with her paw when you stop petting. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, sleeps through the night, and knows sit, down, stay, crate and come. She’s also come further than almost any dog I know.

Hakimi is a 3 month old female born in foster care, who somehow still has not been adopted. She’s sweet and snuggly with a very cute playful side too! One funny unique thing about her is she has a curly tail almost like a piglet! IT’S OFFICIAL!!!
I have foster failed “UnReal” now known as SEVEN:
🍀 7 years old, 7 lbs, Lucky 7 🍀

I fell in love with this senior lil’ mama the second I saw her in her crate on the van on transport day and knew: she’s the One!

I’ve been made fun of by quite a few of you (you know who you are) because I said this may be the one about every single one of my fosters (“ I feel it, this is the one! 🤣)
I’ve been very close a couple of times, my first love being my big boy Ziggy- but in the end let him go live his best life with a huge yard to run around in!

Seven, being a breeder surrender, had spent her entire life in a cage, forced to breed puppies by an unethical breeder- never experiencing the softness of a bed, a couch, a lap, or the loving touch of a human.
Yet, she was open to trusting me, and since day 1 has slept buried in my bed pillows every single night and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Today, she got the full works by the best @petness_wandererhub_ny : teeth deep- cleaned, body groomed, nails clipped, ears cleaned.

Thank you @waldosrescue & @emi.tini.rescuer for all you do, and so lucky to get to be one of your trusted volunteers 💝💝💝
