I'M SO EXCITED TO SHARE MY GRADUATION PROJECT EXHIBITION DESIGN TITLED "ECLIPSE" .
IN THIS POST YOU WILL DISCOVER THE SCENOGRAPHY OF THE EXHIBITION , THE CONCEPT OF THE EXHIBITION AND THE ARTISTS WITH THEIR MEDIUMS AND HOW THE WORD ECLIPSE RELATED TO EACH ONE OF THESE ARTISTS.

Welcome to ECLIPSE, an exhibition that delves into the richness and complexity of queer identity, challenging conventional narratives and inviting viewers to explore the intricate layers of self-expression and belonging. In the context of the Maghreb, where queer art is often marginalized or hidden, this exhibition serves as a powerful symbol of revelation and recognition.

The concept of "ECLIPSE" is central to our exhibition, both as a metaphor and as an organizing principle. An eclipse occurs when one celestial body moves into the shadow of another, temporarily obscuring it from view. This phenomenon reflects the experiences of queer individuals in the Maghreb, whose identities and expressions have often been overshadowed by societal norms and prejudices. However, just as an eclipse also signifies the alignment and eventual reemergence of celestial bodies, our exhibition aims to reveal the vibrant and diverse expressions of queer identity that have long been hidden from view.

ECLIPSE invited viewers to witness this transition, to see the beauty and strength in what has been eclipsed and to celebrate the reemergence of these rich, multifaceted identities.

100,000 Youtube views on our cover for Emel Mathlouthi's Holm was never an expectation or a goal. We recorded this cover almost 2 years ago as a way to release our frustration from reality that proves to get uglier by the day as soul-less greedy monsters justify ongoing slaughters and man made injustices. We are beyond grateful and still cannot process the overwhelming love and support this cover has been receiving but with every comment and compliment that we still receive till this day, we wish that we don't have to sing songs that mirror millions of lives that only know love and peace in dreams.

Note: HOLM is an Arabic Version (Lyrics written by Emel Mathlouthi) of an Iranian Folk song named Soltane Ghalbha composed by Anoushiravan Rouhani.

A special moment of big appreciation goes to @walidzarrad for filming and co-directing this with so much heart, the one and only @mahermallakh for the guidance and audio recording & mixing, and @fares_jaf for beautifully accompanying us on the piano.
