Last night was a big night for Redbridge. I hosted the Mayor's Award's in the Council Chamber. All the winners were nominated by ordinary members of the community to acknowledge, and thank them for, the work they have done to support their fellow citizens in Redbridge. They are all Local Heroes, and I thank them for their selfless work. Here are just a few of the many nominees and winners proudly showing their awards . @redbridgecouncil #redbridge #awards #ilford

Did you know that during the pandemic it’s estimated that 1 in 10 British women struggled or could not afford period products…

Thats here in Great Britain, supposedly one of the most affluent countries in the western world.

Therefore for 2022 Stay Beautiful is proud to be working with the amazing @walk__it__out , a local charity who work hard to empower young women and females in Redbridge.

We will be asking our lovely clients to come along to their appointments with some fresh sanitary wear that we can donate to those who need them.

So pop an extra packet of towels or tampons in your baskets at the supermarket or chemists and help your local community!

⚠️ Trigger warning
Did you know that 1 in 3 girls will be sexually assaulted before they are 18? 💔
Our #Protecther campaign is to raise awareness on •Revenge porn •Street harassment •Sexual assault •Peer to peer abuse
••••
We want all teenage girls and young women to feel safer and to speak up if they ever experience any of these issues.
••••
Boys and men must be educated and understand that these issues can be extremely traumatic. They could lead to mental health illnesses and many other problems.
••••
🗣We will turn our pain into power and continue to be the voice for the voiceless until we see effective changes.
