Walker is a wide ribcage hitter, so he doesn’t need as large of a forward move as some of our narrower guys to create space or energy.

The biggest adjustment was activating the right muscles earlier to establish his posture, which allows him to stay behind the baseball and create better separation.

From there, the goal was simple: land in a position where he can turn. Instead of continuing to hip slide after landing, he can now stabilize and rotate around a stronger front side, allowing him to stay connected and work from behind.

A ton of work goes on behind the scenes. This is a small glimpse into what we were able to attack in two months.

Walker Clark — Young Harris College

Walker’s short-term goal was simple: clean up his direction and allow his barrel to slot more efficiently. Since then, he’s been a barrel machine, consistently producing loud contact.

We’ve been super impressed with how he goes about his work. Walker is an extremely smart player who understands the purpose behind what he’s doing, makes adjustments quickly, and attacks every session with intent. YHC got a guy!

@walkerclark7 Walker Clark (2026 Grad) taking some “Big Boy Hacks” 😎 Another one of my @blackcobrabaseball boys 🐍 Ball jumps off his bat very well with 🧃 to all fields 💪🏻 & gets good extension through balls that he barrels.
