What a MOMENT. 🎾✨🎻 Last night, The String Queens had the incredible honor of performing at the @usopen for the “Roger Federer: An Icon Returns to New York” Tribute ceremony and exhibition match between 20-time Grand Slam champion @rogerfederer and formidable American champion Andy Roddick, the 2003 U.S. Open champion and former World No. 1. 🏆🇺🇸 Members of TSQ grew up watching and playing tennis, so performing on this world stage was a full-circle moment that left us deeply grateful and overflowing with joy. 🥹❤️🎾 Endless gratitude to Overland Entertainment @overlandentertainment + Kelly Foster for the invitation, and to our phenomenal rhythm section — @walktones (piano), @ra_mendez (bass), and @wilson_ondrums (drums)—for bringing it all together. About last night! The @thestringqueens were invited to perform at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and Arthur Ashe Stadium for a special tribute ceremony celebrating Roger Federer, followed by an exhibition match between Roger and Andy Roddick. The match 🎾, the music 🎻🎶, the energy ⚡️… SO good!! Joining the ladies was their awesome rhythm section: @walktones 🎹, @ra_mendez 🎸 {bass}, and @wilson_ondrums 🥁 A huge S/O and Thank You to our friends @overlandentertainment, for the opportunity and for taking such good care of everyone!
