Alhamdulillah, we have officially closed our fundraising outreach. What started as a goal has become a testimony of collective kindness and sincere giving. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed, supported, shared, and stood with us throughout this journey. Your generosity helped us serve with dignity, and that is something we do not take lightly. May Allah accept every effort, reward you abundantly, and replenish you in ways beyond your expectations. May what you gave return to you in barakah, ease, and countless blessings. Jazakumullahu khayran 🤍 — TMB YEAR 2026

Heyyy y’all! Waliyy & Qamar here.😅 We already know the first set of people seeing this are our friends, but anyway… welcome to our page. Tbh, if you randomly see two guys running a joint page, your first thought is probably, “these ones no get thinking.” And honestly? You might not be wrong 😂 But we’ve got such a chaotic, fun, and unserious vibe that we figured… why not share it with y’all? Here’s the real gag though: we’ve never actually agreed that we’re friends. Matter of fact, one of us opened this account and the other deleted it at some point. Guess who? 🤪 While you’re still guessing… welcome to whatever this is. ❤️ Love, Waliyy & Qamar.

“You don’t host anymore?” I’d probably laugh and say, “I do oh!” I might even add, “I recently hosted a stadium event.” But just a few days before Eid, when a friend asked me to host that same event, I turned it down. I had stepped back from hosting for a while and didn’t feel ready to dive in again. I also wasn’t open to hosting religious events for personal reasons, and that venue? It carried a painful memory. Truth is, I hadn’t hosted in a bit. I’d always answer “yes” when asked if i host, but deep down, I was questioning everything. Oh, how I love hosting—the energy, the smiles, the new faces, the “thank you for a beautiful event.” But when life gets loud, sometimes you need silence. Jobs ended, partnerships parting, personal shifts. Did I consider going fully corporate? Definitely. I’d remind myself, “I’m a chemist. A brand/content strategist too.” But the FOMO I felt every time I saw hosting gigs? Whew. During Ramadan, I turned down hosting gigs. Some didn’t align with me. others, i told myself: “This month is for God oh abeg, I’ll re-strategize. I need to be fully ready.” And I bet God was just smiling. Because somehow…that same stadium event I turned down? It came back to me. Hosting that event felt fresh and fulfilling—it was a different experience with a completely different audience. I used to think my Yoruba was only strong within the comfort of my home. But being able to communicate in Yoruba with the older adults, making sure they felt seen and included, while still holding it down for the youngins in English and that familiar Gen Z tone—it all felt like a divine nudge. A reminder that i was infact ready. i’ve since then joined a media startup i get to host for actively, wrapped up some successful campaigns behind the scenes, and slowly started showing up again–with purpose. I’m learning that It’s okay to step away to rest or recalibrate. But sometimes, when you think you’re not ready, God sends a challenge that shows just how ready you truly are. So… does Qamar still host? I’m activeeeee like Chivita!! 🥳 Big love to @wallayce__ @theonly_ridho @mdrasaq_mohammed and huge thanks to @jinyaeidfest for having me. Grateful—truly. 🤍 #IQ
