When you're "living the dream" This (walnut)Wednesday we welcome my (not)old friend since primary and high school, Matt Eller. I got to pick Matt's brain on living out my drama school dreams where he did a diploma to finally actually "living the dream" with his company, Evoke Audio. We also touched on a squishy topic after Matt and his wife's new home was crashed into by a car, in the middle of the night and how that horror movie of an incident, has impacted him. Matt is a full-time audio engineer who began his career in Wellington after graduating from Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School, working across various theatre shows and companies as a technical operator and sound designer. A move to Auckland at the end of 2014 shifted his focus to live audio engineering, where he started working as the primary audio engineer and road manager for the Modern Māori Quartet, touring throughout New Zealand and around the world. In 2020, he co-founded Evoke Audio alongside his mate Ricky, an audio post-production studio based in West Auckland. If anyone knows me they know I'm a big @elliottroseauthor fan and when I was sent the email that I had gained a place on her updated content team, I was over the moon! So I thought I'd share some of my faves from the Elliott-verse. And this song goes so hard cause it just makes me think of Ven and I am absolutely smitten with that MMC and as far as I'm concerned, he can do no wrong. Ever. Anyway, enjoy the Elliott content! Massive thanks to Elliott, @walnutwednesday and the entire team behind the scenes (please comment so I can follow and tag you!) who helped organize this and make it happen. I'm so stoked! #elliottrose #bookshelves #bookdragon #elliottverse

Still buzzing after the Wellington Art Show 🎨✨ What an incredible few days filled with beautiful conversations, inspiring artists and new collectors. I’m so grateful for everyone who stopped by, supported my work, and shared the love ❤️ And a huge shoutout to my amazing assistant @walnutwednesday 🌟 From setting up and styling the stand to chatting with visitors and keeping everything running smoothly. If you’re an artist doing shows and need an extra pair of hands, I would highly recommend her. Having the right support makes all the difference. 𝖛𝖊𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖋𝖚𝖑 𝖌𝖔𝖉𝖘 Re-release 𝔞𝔳𝔞𝔦𝔩𝔞𝔟𝔩𝔢 𝔫𝔬𝔴! Fox, Ky, Ven, Thorne - Thorne Calliano BY THE WAY. The name? That's all you need to know how these men will treat our purple-haired goddess Once again, thank you again to @podiumentertainment & @elliottroseauthor for this amazing package 🥹 If you know me, you know I've been an Elliott groupie since her first series, the Nocturnal Hearts series, so every book has a special place in my cold, dark heart. And her and her team always make me feel the most special, especially my sweet @walnutwednesday all the way on the other side of the planet. Mushy stuff aside, with this book you get: 🔪 secret soc!ety 🔪MMFM 🔪Touch any of them and 💀 🔪Enemies to lovers 🔪Pierced 🍆 In this story, there are three beasts and I am their blood debt owed. The Anguis, a secret society of power-hungry individuals, have long controlled Port Macabre from their seat at Noire House. A place where the wealthy rub shoulders and chase hedonistic pleasures. However, behind the mansion’s facade lies a poisonous, hidden underworld. With my father now gone, I am the sole heir to Noire House. They wanted his head, instead, these ruthless men settled for taking me. I thought I had successfully escaped the curse of my bloodline, but I’ve been dragged back into the devious, twisted world of the Anguis. To protect the ones I love, I must allow these men to parade me around and claim me as theirs. Locked away in their remote, forest-bound fortress, I am nothing more than a possession to control. To them, my life–and future–represents payment in kind and vengeance they’ve been denied. In the world of the Anguis, death is the only way out, and these men are handsome grim reapers dressed in fine suits. But as their heated looks and rough, blood-stained hands become more alluring each day, giving in to their games becomes a temptation I can’t avoid. Lines are blurred and longing spills over as I quickly find myself craving their darkness. I can’t succumb to three beautiful monsters… Can I? #elliottrose #podiumentertainment #vengefulgods #bookrec #flatlay

𝖜𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖗 𝖜𝖎𝖘𝖍𝖑𝖎𝖘𝖙 @elliottroseauthor This book was SO swoony! A librarian, a former pro rugby player, and a cowboy walk into a bar at Christmas... This is my first fake dating trope and it was so fun! Our girl was just down on her luck, alone in a picturesque snowy, mountain town when all of a sudden she runs into the ex that she just found out proposed to his gf. So the man she just bumped into in the bookstore while her arms were full of monster smut, saved the day... and then the days after, over Christmas. With his giant frame, dimples, cowboy hat, and his equally giant ex pro rugby player bf with a moustache, tattoos and an abundance of rings... GOODBYE It was a long novella full of steamy romance and MMF fun Merry Christmas to my new favourite country trio #winterwishlist #cowboyromance #elliottrose #bookrecommendations #christmasbooks

𝖜𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖗 𝖜𝖎𝖘𝖍𝖑𝖎𝖘𝖙 - 𝔞𝔳𝔞𝔦𝔩𝔞𝔟𝔩𝔢 𝔫𝔬𝔴! • Fake Dating • Snowy Mountain Ranch • A cowboy, a former rugby pro, and a librarian walk into a bar... • Adult sleigh ride • Stakes are low, heat is high • French in the bedroom • Pėgg!nġ • Christmas 3sums 🤠 𝖇𝖑𝖚𝖗𝖇 🤠 A librarian, a former pro rugby player, and a cowboy walk into a bar at Christmas… What’s a girl to do when stuck at a mountain ranch for the holidays, unexpectedly flying solo? Festive activities don’t quite sound so jolly when my best friend isn’t able to make it at the last minute, and I can’t retreat home to stuff my nose in a book. To make matters worse, that guy I’d been seeing? Yeah, he just proposed to his girlfriend of five minutes… and they’re getting cozy in the cabin next to mine. One chance encounter in a bookstore sends a miracle drifting my way, with kind eyes and massive… hands. When he swoops in pretending to be my boyfriend, I should be saying no, yet find myself agreeing to a harmless little ruse for Christmas. He’s taken, and I’m leaving town in a couple of days. No harm could come of it, right? I didn’t expect it to be anything more than a bit of fun. I certainly didn’t expect two men to open their home and their bed to me as part of this game. Suddenly, a little merriment turns from fake to living out my every fantasy. The last thing I intended on adding to my winter wishlist this year is these two men, who might do more than just make my wishes come true… they might just steal my heart in the process. Winter Wishlist is a stand-alone holiday fake dating romance, filled with low-stakes, high-heat MMF swoon and spice. #winterwishlist #elliottrose #cowboyromance #bookrecommendations #christmasromance

This conversation meant everything to me. It’s something I will look back on and be so glad that I had the courage to talk about 💚 It’s taken me a long time to stop thinking of myself as a problem that needs to be fixed. I held myself back from healing because of that mindset so this is your reminder that trauma happens fast, healing happens slow. Give yourself some compassion for what you went through because you responded exactly how you were supposed to. I learned from @healwithbritt and her Body-First Healing program changed my life. A trauma survivor turned practitioner, her story keeps me going every day. She is one of the most remarkable people I’ve ever talked to.
