🧶💚 THIS is what happens when knitters come together! 💚🧶

Our very first Healthy Knitter Retreat is officially in the books…and WOW, what a weekend! 🥹❤️

We came from different places, many of us meeting for the very first time, and somehow it didn’t take long before it felt like we’d known each other forever.

🧶 LOTS of knitting
😂 So much laughter
🪡 Learning & trying new things
🛍️ A little yarn shopping…okay, maybe more than a little! 😉
🧘‍♀️ Relaxing & recharging
🍽️ Delicious food
🎁 Surprises & fun
💕 And most importantly…new friendships and memories that will last far beyond this weekend.

This retreat reminded me of something I already knew: knitting is about so much more than yarn and needles. It brings people together. 💚

I tried to squeeze an entire incredible weekend into less than 3 minutes…so turn up the sound and come experience a little bit of the magic with us! 🎥🧶✨

And YES…after a weekend like this, I think it’s safe to say there WILL be more Healthy Knitter Retreats! 👀😉

👇 Would YOU come to a Healthy Knitter Retreat? Tell me in the comments—and tag a knitting friend you’d bring with you! 🧶👯‍♀️

Letters for Katie 💛
Our beautiful Katie will be leaving us on 17th July, and we wanted to create a little space for our community to leave a message, memory, or note of love as she begins her next adventure!🌀

If you’ve ever stepped into one of Katie’s classes, you’ll know that it is so much more than movement. It’s an invitation to soften, to wander inward, to breathe a little deeper. Her words have a way of weaving through the room like poetry - guiding us through gentle currents of flow, moments of stillness, and into those rare pockets of peace that seem to linger long after we’ve rolled up our mats.

Katie has helped so many of us reconnect with ourselves, bringing a sense of renewal, calm, and quiet wonder to our practice. Time and time again we’ve left her classes feeling lighter, steadier, and a little more at home within ourselves. As we celebrate her and all she has brought to the Yogabomb community, we’d love for you to leave a comment below sharing how Katie has touched your practice or simply wishing her well on the journey ahead.

Thankfully, we still have over 3weeks of Katie’s magic before she goes. And to celebrate her properly, we’ll be gathering for a Bring & Share picnic social this Sunday at 12pm in Museum Gardens. We’d love to see you there. 🩷

People often tell me they can’t imagine having their adult children and grandchildren living so far away.

I’ll be honest with you... it’s incredibly hard. 💔

I cry when I think about all the little moments I’m missing. I cry every time it’s time to say goodbye. I wish I could be there for the everyday things—helping with meals, running errands, babysitting, giving hugs, and simply being present for all the milestones and memories.

It’s hard. Plain and simple.

But I also have a choice.

I can focus on what I am missing, or I can choose gratitude for what I do have. ❤️

I’m grateful for FaceTime calls, endless photos and videos, constant communication, and every precious moment we get to spend together in person. Technology may not replace being there, but it certainly helps bridge the distance.

Knitting has been a true gift during this season of life. 🧶 It gives my hands something to do while my heart misses the people I love most. It allows me to create something meaningful for my children and grandchildren, even from thousands of miles away.

The first photo is of our second grandbaby, due in November. Soon we’ll find out whether I’m knitting a sweater for a grandson or granddaughter! 👶💚 Katie and Gareth are nearly halfway through the pregnancy already, and it’s going by so fast.

The second photo is me knitting while watching sweet Maria, who is now crawling and pulling herself up to stand. It feels like she was just born yesterday.

Life is such a precious gift. Time moves far too quickly.❤️

So I choose to cherish every moment, celebrate every blessing, and when my heart needs a little extra comfort, you’ll usually find me in my knitting studio. 🧶✨

Distance may separate us, but love never does. ❤️
