🇬🇧A private island set amidst the sea, rising from the salt pans to create a stunning backdrop. ✨

A setting suspended between sky and water, where every detail reflects the authentic beauty of the Mediterranean.

The pristine white décor contrasts beautifully with the dusty rose hues; the sunset light envelops every moment, making the island the perfect place to celebrate a timeless love. 🤍

An intimate, refined, and truly unique experience, immersed in nature and surrounded by the sea.

What makes a wine memorable? Often, it begins with the place you experience it in.

Wine tourism is changing. Visitors are increasingly looking for more than a tasting: they want to understand the landscape, meet the people behind the wine and discover the culture and stories that have shaped it.

This is at the heart of a new double interview with Annamaria Sala and Beatrice Bonzano, our young Hospitality Manager, published in the English edition of Wine Meridian.

Two generations, looking at the same question from different perspectives: how can hospitality make terroir something you can actually experience?

At Gorghi Tondi, wine is inseparable from its surroundings. From the vineyards of south-western Sicily and the nearby Mediterranean to the Lago Preola e Gorghi Tondi Nature Reserve, from the cultural layers of Mazara del Vallo to the everyday work in the vineyard and cellar.

Because terroir is not only soil and climate. It is also place, history, traditions, culture and human knowledge — all the elements that make a wine possible and, ultimately, recognisable.

And as Beatrice’s perspective reminds us, this matters particularly to a new generation of travellers looking for experiences that feel genuine, engaging and worth remembering.

Wine tourism gives us the opportunity to bring all these elements together — and to let a glass of wine become the beginning of a much wider story.
