I feel so lucky to have found my way into this incredible tradition. This weekend, @borrachopescador officially surpassed $2 MILLION raised for some truly special organizations, including the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, Texas Children’s, and the newest addition of the Marfan Foundation. What a testament to the hearts behind this tournament, and the people who show up for it (and show up for their friends affected) year after year.

So proud to be part of the @moreleft_flyco team alongside some of my nearest and dearest fishy fam! This weekend has quickly become one of my favorite reunions, bringing together old friends, new homies, and fellow anglers from all over the country.

And this year was extra special. We managed to get my mentor & friend Gerry all the way from Punta Allen, Mexico, to Port O’Connor to be my boat partner! 🇲🇽❤️🇺🇸 From encounters with some gorgeous redfish, to quality time spent learning from @normandvelazquez and @dm_flyfishing on the platform, to soaking in the Texas sun, and duh the afters, we made memories I’ll cherish forever.

To the incredible team (and fellow Red Raiders) who pour their hearts into making Borracho Pescador happen, thank you for letting us be a part of something so special. You boys are the blueprint! Here’s to 15 years, $2 million raised, and many more years of doing good while having a damn good time. Where there is love, there is hope. ❤️

$I had the absolute honor of helping @traderclaude host a trip for the most amazing group of people from @deepsouthflyshop to the @palometaclub this past week. 🎣 I measure my time by moments and there were so many magical ones from this trip. It was watching the sunrise every morning while getting gear ready for a day of fishing. It was doing an art lesson with a group of incredible children and watching their alebrijes come to life as their smiles grew bigger. I find magic everywhere and I couldn’t soak it in quickly enough. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. There were so many times where I had to stop, take a deep breath and just smile with tears in my eyes because what a gift I was given. A heartfelt thank you to @deepsouthflyshop for giving me this amazing opportunity…I will never be able to thank you enough. Punta Allen…you are a hidden treasure. Thank you for being the most beautiful host. {PS} Thank you to the most wonderful guides as well. You taught me so much. As an artist it was beyond special seeing these fish in person. I was able to catch bonefish, a tarpon (I screamed so loud I probably scared @charly_rendon_ 😂) and wade for tailing permit.
