Sometimes the most interesting discoveries come from unexpected places.

During our recent exploration of the Lower Zambezi, we stumbled upon a different approach to targeting tigerfish on the fly. It proved remarkably effective for this time of year, producing significantly more strikes and considerably more fish brought to hand than our conventional methods.

It’s an exciting little breakthrough in our understanding of this extraordinary fishery, and one that holds considerable promise for anglers hoping to unlock the secrets of this enigmatic species.

Even on a river as celebrated as the Zambezi, there is clearly still much to discover.

Tigerfish might be the end goal, but two essential ingredients make the whole experience: good flies and a steady supply of cold ones.

We’re excited to give you a first glimpse of our new tigerfish operation. More to come soon!

Some images from an incredible day exploring the upper reaches of the Agua Negra River 🇧🇴

A huge thanks to @ezequielperillo and his team for taking us as far as you did. It was an extremely challenging day for everyone, navigating the rocky river by boat, hiking between the tighter sections and even cutting new paths through the jungle to access water that clearly hadn’t been fished in a very long time.

What a special experience, and some truly phenomenal fish to show for it! 🏆

What a season it’s been. Huge thank you to all the amazing guests who joined us and made these past five weeks so memorable.

Some incredible fish, plenty of laughs and another unforgettable season on this wild river.

Until next year!

Came across some snippets of Leeries on the fly rod before the winter came. Need to spend some more time behind the vice and dial in a couple patterns. Very excited to target them in the surf but I have a feeling some serious humble pie will be served!
