ANNOUNCEMENT, ANNOUNCEMENT! We’re currently at 61% of our @kickstarter finishing funds goal for @livingpractical_ , with only 17 days left!

If you haven’t done so already, please make a pledge. Remember, this is an all-or-nothing campaign. If we don’t hit our goal, we don’t receive any of the money raised to finish the series, and we’ll have to wait until 2027 to release it, which would suck!

So if you can do me a favor, please pledge by clicking the link in my caption or commenting LINK below, and I’ll send it your way.

Now, enjoy some recap images from the Insecure reunion by swiping left! #insecure #ahmal

Right after Obama was elected, I took a microphone to Union Square with @straussschulson, propped up a sign that said “Free Beats,” and started beatboxing. We had no plan beyond that.
People stopped. Then people joined (mostly my friends). Singing, poetry, beatboxing… random dancing. It’s one of the most purely joyful afternoons I’ve ever had in New York City. Everyone in this video looks like they believe something good is about to happen. That feeling is creeping back, with midterms coming up and shifting possibilities. It’s a vastly different time from 2008.

Go vote. And if you see a dude (now with a beard) holding a mic with a cardboard sign, stop.

Some shows tell stories... but 'Insecure' made the culture feel seen.

@issarae, @yvonneorji, @jayrellis, @natasharothwell and more reunited in Inglewood to celebrate a decade of the HBO series with music, surprise guests and a major “what if”… an alternate finale that gave Team Nathan a completely different ending. 👀

From its first episode to now, 'Insecure' has given us something that still lasts... a funny, messy and honest look at Black friendship, love, work and figuring life out in real time.

#LetsDiscuss What’s one @insecurehbo moment that still has you talking 10 years later? Swipe through a look back at the show and tap the link in bio to see our best moments from the reunion. 🖤

July 2026 owes me nothing.

The month I turned 40, ran a sub 6 mile, taught my kids how to be #teamcarryon, got to hug 95% of the people I love most on this earth, watched hours of soccer, danced on furniture, danced in a party bus, danced on a stage at Lincoln Center. Danced. Danced and didn’t take enough pictures. Cheers to being alive no matter what.

I may have been in less than 10 episodes 😆 but I'm still going to loudly and proudly celebrate 10 years of Insecure! What a show and what a time! I'm still so grateful to have been a tiny part of such a cultural phenomenon. S/O @issarae @larrywilmore for creating this show where so many creatives in front of and behind the scenes got to do their thing on a platform as big as @hbo ....might need to go back and rewatch the entire show from the beginning lol, oh, the MEMORIES! (Ok, bye, going back in hiding 😄🫣🫶🏾)
