One of the most beautiful places on Earth I have to say is the Oregon coast, the views you gain from the Oregon Coast are undeniable. With its rugged seaside cliffs, sandy beaches, unique rock formations, matching with its lush vegetation well the coast is a high for the senses. This drive is unforgettable! We got to explore amazing discoveries on our own, visit the eclectic shops, the unique eateries and having all the natural wonders and sea life at your fingertips was simply bliss. I fully believe you should fill your life with experiences not things ☺️ it’s such a big world out there go and explore it.

REMINDER 👈🏽 The point of seeing other women’s adventures is not to make you feel crappy, drive comparison, or make you feel like your priorities are inadequate. Seeing other women smiling, accomplishing goals, and living differently is there to remind you that:

*Your dreams matter. Find ways to make yourself a priority - big and small.

* Nobody can do it all. Yes, it seems like 90% of Instagram is living the dream but nobody navigates motherhood unscathed. Are you focused on the right priorities? Need new friends to make it happen? Lacking motivation? There’s always trade offs.

* Be proud of yourself. Ok, maybe you didn’t summit a mountain with your kids but you had a nap. Guaranteed there’s a mom who’s jealous of your nap. 😆 Do what works for you and be unapologetically proud. There’s always another day to do things differently if you’re inspired to.

REMINDER❣️So many mothers underestimate their rad-ness. Yes, it’s pretty cool to reach a new summit, try a new sport, or accomplish a personal best but it’s also rad to get outside and play with your kids, find time for an evening walk, or strike new balance in your life. We know motherhood isn’t all rainbows - sometimes we feel like failures, lack energy, or get stuck in a rut. Consider this your reminder going into the weekend that you are enough and the “little things” that sometimes go unnoticed make you rad too!

FULL MOON FUN 🌕 Have you ever experienced a full moon hike? If not, add it to your 2021 bucket list 🙌🏽 It invigorates the senses, teaches you to navigate and plan differently, and showcases the outdoors in a whole new light (or lack there of 😉). Here are a few tips to help you prepare:

• Chose a trail below your normal skill level. Easier is better for your first time since the silence, darkness, and solitude can be overwhelming at first.
• Go with a friend and make sure you share your plan with others back home who can verify your safe return.
• Pack extra. Extra layers, extra batteries/spare headlamp, extra light source, backup route finding, and a warm drink.

Recently I’ve been scrolling through pictures of my past- I don’t know if I’ve been doing it more now because of the state of the world (my screen time is still a little aggressive 😅) but I catch myself wishing that I could go back, to re-live my earlier experiences.
And then when I look up I see this little face and all of his magic, and wonder and enthusiasm about the world and I remember that here is where I am, and here is where I am supposed to be.

We received the notification that Kai is officially registered for kindergarten in the fall. Strangely enough I got a little emotional.
The days can be long, but the years go by quickly.
I have a sneaking suspicion that in not so long of time my future self will be sitting here wishing I could go back in time and re-live these days too.
