🫁 The breath is not separate from the practice of yoga. It is part of its foundation.

Pranayama has been studied and practised for centuries within the yogic tradition, offering a structured approach to working with the breath.

But learning pranayama is more than learning breathing techniques. It means understanding the purpose behind each practice, its place within yoga, and how to approach and teach it with knowledge and care.

At Moola Yoga, we explore pranayama through traditional practices, yogic philosophy, anatomy, preparation and teaching methodology.

Our 50-hour Pranayama & Breathwork Teacher Training in Rishikesh offers an opportunity to study these teachings in greater depth and develop the understanding to share them with others.

Unable to travel to Rishikesh? We also offer a 30-hour online Pranayama & Breathwork Teacher Training, delivered live over several weeks, allowing you to study from wherever you are.

Learn the practices. Understand the tradition. Carry the teachings forward.

Explore our in-person and online training programmes through Moola Yoga.

People ask why I became a guide.

I usually smile, because the real answer is hard to explain in one sentence. It’s not only about walking in the mountains or reaching summits.

It wasn’t only for the mountains.

Yes, I love these views, but after guiding for years, I’ve learned something—every turn on the trail can change how you feel, think, and see the world.

It was also for the people who shaped these lands.

Some people see old faces. I see living history—stories of resilience, kindness, faith, and a life deeply connected to the mountains.

For meals cooked with patience and fire.

Some call it just lunch. I call it survival, comfort, and mountain fuel. And somehow, Dal Bhat cooked on firewood always tastes better.

For life that still moves with nature.

Some trails have traffic. Ours has yaks. Slow, fluffy, and completely unbothered—they remind me that not everything needs to move fast.

For traditions that still breathe.

Some doors have locks and cameras. Some have ancient symbols of protection. What looks unusual to outsiders often carries deep spiritual meaning here.

For villages holding centuries of faith.

Some villages feel visited. Some feel timeless. Monasteries, chortens, prayer flags, and stone houses—life here moves to an older rhythm.

For prayers carried by wind.

Some silence feels louder than noise. When prayer flags dance in the wind, the whole landscape feels alive with something you cannot fully explain.

Himalayan Thar

For wild beings that belong completely.

Nature doesn’t try to impress—it simply does. Watching a Himalayan Thar walk impossible cliffs makes human confidence look very negotiable.

And for moments that make words feel small.

Some views silence everything. Even after so many treks, there are moments when I still stop, stare, and feel small—in the best possible way. 🏔️

Mental clutter doesn't go away on its own — it usually needs somewhere to go.

FreeWriters gives those thoughts a place to land.

One word.
Five minutes.
No stopping.
No editing.
No overthinking required.

Just a way to move what's in your head onto the page.

This is the problem FreeWriters exists to solve — that common experience of feeling mentally overwhelmed or stuck, without a clear outlet for it.

Whether you're an adult navigating a big decision, a parent looking for a new way to connect with your kids, or a student who struggles to put feelings into words out loud, the format gives everyone the same simple way in.

It's easy to assume a writing practice will feel like another obligation.

FreeWriters is built differently — simple rules that create freedom, not pressure.

One word.
Five minutes.
No stopping.
No editing.
No need to be good at it.

Just a practice that tends to surprise people in the best way.

That's the why behind FreeWriters: it removes the barriers that usually get in the way of expression — the pressure to say the right thing, the overthinking, the self-censorship — and replaces them with a contained, repeatable structure.

The result, for a lot of people, is more clarity and a little more ease.

Click the link in bio for more information about how to make creative expression part of your routine.

In a world of constant scrolling, an hour of uninterrupted creative time can feel rare.

FreeWriters carves out that space — no phone, no agenda, no performance.

One word.
Five minutes.
No stopping.
No editing.

Just you, the page, and whatever wants to come out.

That's the entry point FreeWriters is built to provide — a simple way to move your thoughts out of your head and onto the page, away from screens and away from the pressure to perform.

Whether it's an hour for yourself, a shared activity with family, or a reset in the middle of a busy week, the goal is the same: clarity, without having to explain or "get it right."

Click the link in bio for more information about how to reclaim space for reflection and connection.
