Welcome to Mongolia 🇲🇳🐎

"You went to Mongolia?"
"I went to MONGOLIA!!!" 🇲🇳

When I dreamed about Mongolia, I imagined the horses, the eagles and those endless landscapes.

What I hoped for was to go beyond the places most people see — far into rural Mongolia, where there were no roads, no crowds and for days at a time, no one else around.

But what I couldn’t have imagined were the people I would meet there. The faces that would soon become so familiar. The people who welcomed us into their world, made us laugh, looked after us, taught us and shared pieces of their traditions and everyday life with us.

Somewhere along the way, Mongolia became so much more than the place I had dreamed of seeing. It became the people, the laughter, the little moments and the feeling of being welcomed into a way of life so different from my own.

And that’s the Mongolia I’ll remember for the rest of my life. 🇲🇳🤍

The selfie vs the view. Mongolia 🇲🇳 edition.

Some of my favorite pictures from Mongolia started as nothing more than a quick selfie.

I think that’s what I love most about these pictures. They’re not perfect photos, they’re just little snapshots of where I happened to be — on horseback somewhere in the middle of nowhere, waking up to a new view outside the tent, surrounded by camels, or stopping for a few minutes because the landscape was too beautiful not to.

At the time, it was just a quick selfie. Looking at them now, they bring me right back to those moments and remind me just how happy I was, and how simple and good life can feel sometimes.

Scenes from Svalbard - Into the Arctic 🎬🐻‍❄️❄️

Mongolia 🇲🇳

We rode horses through endless valleys, crossed rivers and mountains, with no real trails to follow — just open land stretching as far as we could see.

For 10 days, we didn’t see a single person outside of our group.

Most mornings, we packed up camp, loaded everything onto the camels and set off again on horseback. Hours later, we’d find a new place to camp, unload the camels, put up the kitchen tent and slowly build our little home for the night. The next morning, we’d pack it all up and do it all over again.

No roads, no crowds, no phone signal. Just our horses and camels, mountains and rivers, and landscapes that seemed to go on forever.

I don’t think I’d ever experienced that kind of remoteness before — or that kind of freedom.

Just Mongolia, in every direction.

Adventure is not always about exploration.

Sometimes it’s about showing up when the unexpected happens.

After the devastating floods in Nepal, we put our local knowledge, logistics expertise and network to work — helping connect people and resources with communities in hard-to-reach areas.

Different mission. Same purpose: connecting people, places and possibilities. 🇳🇵#nepalnow #ontheground

How do you explain this feeling to someone who’s never experienced this kind of freedom?

Maybe you can’t. Some feelings can’t be explained — they have to be experienced. 🐎🇲🇳

Galloping across the wide open Mongolian steppe, nothing around us but mountains, endless sky and the sound of hooves. For a few moments, there was nowhere else to be and nothing else to think about. Just go.

Moments like this remind me why I want a life full of experiences I’ll never forget, even if I can’t always put into words what they meant to me.
