Date night at @wanderrestaurant Cronulla 🍷 My husband stumbled upon this place while walking around Cronulla, and we got lucky because they had a few spots available outside! They do a Sardinian degustation menu, and apparently they change it every month, so there’s always something new to try. Reservation is a must, though! Service was excellent. Thank you Jas! the chef makes their own ceramics, including the plates they serve the food on! #cronulla #shire We started with their aperitivo, chilled wine and a pale ale. Oysters with finger lime and roe. ANG SARAP, the flavours work so well without masking the freshness of the oysters! it. Next was bottarga on whipped cream with their house-made focaccia. MEN. ANG SARAP. Next was bottarga on whipped cream with their house-made focaccia. this was one of my fave #foccacia #bottarga The caponata was a tomato-based mixed vegetable dish that reminded me a bit of ratatouille The culurgiones!! Imagine if gnocchi and a dumpling had a baby with silky mashed potato inside, all covered in a rich, simple tomato sauce. This was my husband’s fave! #culurgiones #potato For dessert, we had seadas with fried pecorino and fennel pollen honey. Sweet, savoury, cheesy goodness. Such a nice way to end the meal For my Filipino homies this reminds me of the Nono’s Fried Truffle cheese wontons. yummmmmmmmm!
