The CMPA took over the Canada Pavilion at TIFF: The Market for the Canada Connection Hub, which included a full day of panels and networking between Canadian and international producers. With 3+ panels, 11 countries represented, and 200+ producers in attendance over the course of the day, it was the busiest pavilion of the day. And yes, there was a moose! More of my work. Was in Sydney for the Cape Breton screenings of @littlelorrainefilm with @andyhines.tv. @wonder_wong texted me to get back down to the cineplex because the boys were cooking up some Cape Breton crab. Glad I did! 🦀 It was a real hit with the crowd. #littlelorraine #novascotia #capebreton #kingsfoot #gout

BIG NEWS! THANK YOU @telefilm_canada for supporting DON’T FORGET US, my comeback feature film after being widowed. Ours is the only Ontario film to receive production financing at the national level this round. It is the most personal and most violent script I have ever written. A promise kept to my late spouse, and to myself, that I would not give up on my film career. DON’T FORGET US is a “hard R” supernatural horror film that redefines women in the genre. I wrote it while actively grieving the death of my spouse. It is grief work dressed up as an art house horror film. I’ve teamed up with @christofertoddbrown who I made XX with and @wangofilms who believed in the project from the first read including all of the brutal practical effects for the film. Thank you to my agents at @creativeartistsagency, my manager @raquelle_david at @newstoryent and everyone who never gave up on me. We go to camera in 2027. Follow along for updates. 🎥 🩸
