Ground Tape Loops | Part 4 / 4 (The Grounding)
After 4 hours sitting on the floor in lotus position, my body finally gave in. I shifted to lean back, accidentally kicked the mirror holding the phone, and the whole setup crashed down mid-loop.
Wait till the end of the video for that moment🙏🏻🙂‍↕️✨
At first, I thought the take was ruined. But then I listened back. The tape kept running. The universe literally stepped in and said: "Stop. This session is complete."
Sometimes a cycle needs an unexpected push to close itself, making room for the next one to begin. A literal grounding to end the Ground Tape Loops.
Circular stillness in every sense. 🌀📼💥

Ground Tape Loops | Part 3 / 4
Sci-fi has always been less about machines and more about worldbuilding. For me, creating music follows the exact same path.
Every improvisation, every loop, every session is a whole new universe being constructed in real time. A space where you can step inside, embody a character, and drift through whatever narrative draws you in🙂‍↕️✨whether it’s a distant utopia or a quiet, ambient dystopia.
Close your eyes and take a seat in this world. 🪐📼✨

Floor Sessions // Part II: Lowering the center of gravity 🌿 Bringing the gear down to the floor always changes the pace. The loops decay, the warmth bleeds through the magnetic tape, and the music just finds its own rhythm in pure intuitive creation.
For this session, the main pads and textures were recorded in phrases onto tape loops using the @dreadbox.synthesizers Nymphes, played live via the 4-track faders into an @earthquakerdev Avalanche Run reverb/delay and captured on the @zoomsoundlab H5, while layering live parts with the Nymphes and a synced @korgofficial Volca FM.
Headphones recommended! 🎧📼✨

Part I: Fragility 📼✨ Starting a new series of clips from a floor tape session, guided purely by intuition and a very fragile state of mind. Glitched tape hiss and static noise beds on the @yamahasynths_official MT2X on @warblelooplab tape loop cassette, neutral ambient drones, and the @korgofficial Volca FM2 translating MIDI into the @dreadbox.synthesizers Nymphes which is fed into @chasebliss Tonal Recall (Blue knob✨) followed 🌊washed entirely in the @earthquakerdev Avalanche Run space. No computer, no pre-arranged ideas, just pure vulnerability captured straight to tape. (Clip 1 of 5 // Headphones recommended) 🎧🌿

Like a warm Japanese thermal bath hidden high in the Swiss Alps, where spring has arrived but the glaciers haven't fully melted yet. Koi fish swimming through steaming waters in a frozen vastness. This 55 BPM journey was recorded on the @yamahamusicglobal MT2X 4-track cassette deck using @warblelooplab 12-second tape loops containing the bass (from the @dreadbox.synthesizers Nymphes), a deep drone, and various FM bell sounds (both from the @korgofficial Volca FM) drifting in and out. On channel 5, the @korgofficial Volca Beats drives the kick and toms, compressed through the @uaudio MAX Compressor (1176 FET mode) for a tight, cinematic impact(both powered by @myvolts step up kit. On channel 6, I am playing live ambient, hazy detuned bell chords on the @dreadbox.synthesizers Nymphes, channeling that misty vibe. Everything flows through the @earthquakerdev Avalanche Run V2 for that icy delay/reverb wash, printed straight into the Zoom H5 at 24-bit/48kHz. 🏔️🌸📼✨

First tape music experiment with my @fostexinternational X15 four tracks and a lovely tape loop cassette made by @warblelooplab ✨📼
All the loops are @casiomusicgear SK-1 samples with some live improvisations, the final track is mixed through @behringer Flow 8 and the raw sound is recorded out my @dbtechnologies K162s.

Two tapes playing the same piano loop.
Neither agreeing on the tempo.

I recorded a slow phrase on a slightly out-of-tune piano
and duplicated it onto two cassettes.

From there, I stepped back.

A touch of Prophet delay.
A little shimmer from the Pyroglyphs.
Mostly just motors, friction, and time bending out of alignment.

The machines decide how long it lasts.

Headphones recommended.

Rain Loops — loop experiment

Steel tongue drum through a contact mic.
Speed modded on tape.
Prophet + Pyroglyphs.

Grey sky stillness.

I tried to loop my voice. It turned into a séance.

Built from a vocal loop → chorus → reverb → The Prophet → Pyroglyphs.

Tape has a way of softening things.
And then setting them on fire.
