This might be my new favourite holiday - not Valentine’s Day but Love Splash, celebrated in community around a pole and in heels. A celebration with room for love that is romantic, erotic, platonic, caring, communal, for yourself, and more.

So impressed by all the care @monasplashflows put into organising this evening, from the inclusive preparations to the welcoming words challenging us in what we think of as love, and in recognising s3x workers and str1ppers as the past and current holders of pole.

With performances and improvisations by @monasplashflows and @dieguitotigrito and @hisssteria_ and @wardostyn among others.

With energy and inspiration from the founders and teachers at @jezebel.studio and with special thanks to @b6xbutchibou who helped me prepare.

The making of “Buried in a Coffin the Size of a Grain of Rice”, an installation as part of a cosmology of works by @joshudoser for @horstartsandmusic 2025. ݁₊ ⊹

From seeing Joshua’s concept for the first time in February, to drawing up a floorplan for the wooden framework and ordering the materials, to a whole team of volunteers arriving at Horst in April to build the installation structure, I am sooo attached to this project, and so thankful to @bargotmossy and @louisegoegebeur for guiding me in the arts production process and giving me so much trust!!!!.　 +⠀ ⠀

This buildup week was a beautiful collaboration ~ angel+multidisciplinary creative megamind @joshudoser , Benjamin + @louis.gahide who were also co-ordinating the construction, and super talented Shaping Spaces volunteers, I will look back so fondly on this time together:-)

Here are some photos of the buildup~ during the buildup weeks my phone camera broke, so most of my photos from that time are taken on an old digicam. I think it fits the building quite nicely……..

Photos of the final installation to come‧₊ .ᐟ.
