COLLAGE featuring DJ Sarah Akawa, DJ DH, and AZZA :) Music & Art After dark Friday 10/16! Garver’s Canvas space transforms after hours for COLLAGE: a new dance party built around the collision of community, dancing and art. The first event takes over during Kate Harvey’s American Pie: an exhibition of bright, imaginative paintings. @saintpaint.608 DJs Sarah Akawa, DH, and AZZA will provide the soundtrack for four hours of music in the gallery. The exhibition changes. The DJs change. Each party is one night and totally one-of-a kind! Tickets on sale soon! On an evening before October the 24th, I sat at a table in my humble prayer, considering many great mysteries, till somebody in an unusual manner touched me on the back; whereupon I looked back, and behold it was a fair and glorious lady, whose garments were all sky-coloured, and curiously bespangled with golden stars; in her right hand she bore a trumpet of beaten gold. In her left hand she had a great bundle of letters of all languages. She turned her letters over and over, and at length drew out a small one, which with great reverence she laid down upon the table, and without giving one word, departed from me.  I went to the letter, which was now so heavy, that had it been mere gold it could hardly have been so weighty. I tenderly opened the letter, and within it found the following verses written.  This day, today  Is the Royal Wedding day.  For this thou wast born  Thou mayest go to the mountain  Whereon three temples stand,  And see there this affair.  Keep watch  Inspect thyself  Let him beware who is too light.  Below was written:  The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreuz  With Paul Gordon, Zagc, Zoya, Goa Joe & Simon D October 24th, 2026 10pm - late Secret Location Sound by Warm ‘n Fuzzy Tickets on RA

This past Friday was an incredible experience. I'm (almost) at a loss for words as I can't accurately express the gratitude I have for everyone involved. First and foremost, to the most fly: Francesca Hong. The energy she brought was amazing and transcended the dancefloor. With your help we were able to raise over $3,200 for the Hong campaign! And when you don't take money from corporate shills, every dollar matters so much more. To the Hong campaign: Thank you for your trust and assistance in making this party a reality. As well as connecting the dots with volunteers and making time in Frans busy schedule. To DJ Millbot and Nick Nice: for setting the tone early with a scorching edition of Hot Flash and your willingness to help from the beginning. To our incredible DJs: Sam Walner, Ascella, DJ Umi, Wangzoom, and Tinhead. You created the perfect soundtrack for the night To all the beautiful dancers: our parties mean little without your energy and feedback. You are our fuel, our sustenance. To our insanely talented visual artists Jake O. Your artwork was the glue for that bonded the night together. If that's what you can do with 2 days notice, I can't wait to see what you do with 2 weeks. To the man that makes it all go kaboom: Paul Gordon is one of the hardest working, selfless people in the scene. We all know this, but I'm not sure everyone grasps how much work he actually does. We're lucky to have him in Madison. My heart is full from this weekend and I've replayed the night in my head so much already. It's an experience that will stay with me forever. I'm working on compiling all of the awesome footage Jake took for compilation video. But in the meantime, here are just a few of my favorite pics from the night: Until next time my friends, -RJ 🙏🏽✌🏽🙏🏽

Daydream 2026 was such a treat - filled with gratitude for my friends and our dance community who all came together to make this park party happen. It’s always such a special day when we get to bring the music of @dreamingofadisco into the daytime hours in one of Madison’s most scenic outdoor spaces. So glad to see many friends, dancers, and strangers enjoying the music in the park on Saturday! Now that Daydream has concluded, Dreaming of a Disco is taking a break for the month of July. See you on the dance floor again soon for some stellar programming by @remaininnight at Fete de Marquette! Disco will be back later this summer with a killer lineup at the Cardinal Bar on August 14th, stay tuned 🪩 @warmnfuzzzzy sound had the park rocking - thanks so much to @djazzamusic and @goodheavensitspaul for all their help making this event possible, and for @sarah.akawa @abesm_ and others who assisted with setup and takedown. Many hands make light work ❤️
