OFF THE DECKS

Episode 01 • Q02

A Live Set and a DJ Set may share the same dancefloor, but they offer two very different experiences.

For the second question in our conversation with , we asked:

"How would you describe your live set to someone experiencing it for the first time?"

His answer offers a thoughtful perspective on performance, spontaneity, and why no two live sets are ever the same.

Watch the conversation, then experience it for yourself at PHRASE #02.

OFF THE DECKS By Sound Founders Society [EP001]

Every artist has a story that begins long before the first track.

Introducing Off The Decks — a new series by Sound Founders Society, where we step beyond the performance to explore the people, ideas, and creative processes shaping underground electronic music.

For our first episode, we sit down with I7HVN , ahead of his Kerala debut at PHRASE #02 | 11.07.2026 | Lucid, Kochi

We begin where every journey starts:

"I7HVN feels like a world of its own. How did it all begin?"

This is only the first conversation.

More episodes, more perspectives, and more stories to come.

PHRASE #02

Every edition of PHRASE is built around unique ideas and artists who challenge the way we experience electronic music.

This time, we're proud to welcome I7HVN (ish-an) for a special Live Set.

A multimedia artist from India, I7HVN has steadily built a reputation for performances that blur the boundaries between live electronic music and immersive storytelling. Rather than presenting a conventional club set, each live performance unfolds as a self-contained world—built through intricate sequencing, evolving rhythms, rich textures, and meticulous sound design.

His work has found a home on respected labels including Yuku, Qilla, Circular Ltd, Observant, and his own imprint Safar, a collective he founded to champion forward-thinking and experimental electronic music.

Every release reflects a commitment to artistic exploration over convention, making him one of the country's most distinctive live electronic acts.

Joining the lineup are Obscuit, one of Kochi's most respected selectors, alongside Amorphix and Morphdet, two artists helping shape the next chapter of the underground music scene.

Two days later, we're still carrying the energy of PHRASE #1.

What began as an intimate gathering of Sound Founders Society residents became a room connected by curiosity, trust, and a shared love for music.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, stayed present, and embraced the journey from beginning to end.

To our residents, the team at Lucid The Groove Bar, the venue staff, and the sound & lighting crew — thank you for helping bring PHRASE to life.

Most importantly, thank you to every person who chose to spend their Saturday with us.

Independent events, new concepts, and growing communities only exist because people choose to believe in them. Your support, energy, conversations, and presence are what made PHRASE #1 possible.

This was only the first phrase.

See you soon for Phrase #2

With gratitude,

Sound Founders Society

PHRASE #1: FIVE IDENTITIES. ONE JOURNEY.

What if we removed the headliner?
What would remain?

For PHRASE #1, that's the question we're exploring.

No guest artists. No hierarchy. No borrowed spotlight.
Just five Sound Founders Society residents, each with years invested in developing their own musical language.

From dub-infused grooves and ambient, hypnotic rhythms to technical journeys and darker shades of electronic music, PHRASE#1 is an opportunity to experience five distinct identities connected by one shared belief:
