Happy #FathersDay to the Grand Wizard Poppa Gaff 🥳 with that #GiorgioMoroder inspo! What a character! My dad raised me as one of his own since b4 I was 1yr old (never met biological).....I never viewed myself as a stepchild, and he set my heart in the right direction when I became a young stepdad & dad at 21...

Y’all know I love records, I got it from my dad! He is a massive #bookcollector - I Grew up hanging out in used bookstores with him, perhaps a part of my own eclectic tastes....While my dad May rock the true let your hair flow hippie visible to all aesthetic...I chose the more “hippie at heart” subtle route in my own life!

#Happybirthday to my dad the tie dyed dead head aka #gandalf aka #dumbledore !!! A ♋️ #cancersign to the bone, he took me to my 1st major concert ever at the age of 12 - #BOBDYLAN and encouraged us kids to read any books our imagination took us to. I also got #RUNDMC #raisinghell from him at the age of 11 in ‘87, and well, you all know #HIPHOP culture has been with me ever since!

As soon as we got home from out west we went and saw #straightouttacompton -GO SEE IT.....my wife was like: "what even is this movie?" And I'm like: "it's about one of my favorite rap groups from the late 80's/early 90's called NWA....
Flashback to 1990, I was a 13 year old sk8boarder and I LOVED D.O.C.'s album "No one can do it better" practicing new tricks and combos to that and NWA.....now when '100 Miles And Runnin' came out, I decided to bump it in my mom's cassette deck in the car while she was at church (she gave me the keys to sit in the car and listen to my "rap music"......it got stuck in the tape deck and wouldn't eject....I tried to get it out to no avail....so I turned it totally OFF knowin she wouldn't approve of songs like "just don't bite it" etc....we went home all cool....quiet...the NEXT day, I get a call at school to go to the Principals office, "Michael, your father is on the phone" me: ".......hello"
Dad: "YOUR MOTHER iS IN TEARS you listening to "bitch" this and "pussy" that! Etc etc... Yelling at me for 5 minutes....well, I was pretty shook, my dad was an intimidating dude! Needless to say, I was pretty careful about what went into the family tape deck from then on!
Flash forward to 2015 ---we finish the movie and my wife @sarahdeannerose is like: "do we have these records downstairs?" Yah babe! I'll bring em up....and I come home from the gym the next morning and she is washing dishes BLASTING #STRAIGHTOUTTACOMPTON on the living room turntable 🔊🔉🔊...
Moral of the story is: you're never too young or too old for NWA. #Gaffisms #gaffshouseofwax

Happy Father's Day to my dad Warron Gaffney !!! Learnt so many dope lessons in life from this guy, many of which I didn't fully appreciate until I had kids of my own...
Having never met my biological father, He married my mother, while I was a baby and raised me as his own son since the age of 2, and I went on to be the oldest brother of 5 kids. ✨🙌✨ Ever since I've lived a life feeling loved and supported to pursue my own path of creativity, knowledge and spirituality, with plenty of my own space to do so. 👊 Those values were so ingrained in me, I went on to become a father of my own and step-father at the age of 21 and never looked back. #RESPECT
