The Controled Chaos show went amazing!
I meet some new friends and felt the full support of some old friends and family.

I had some people drive quite a long distance to see and or buy some of my doodles and im very moved by it.

Thank you to everyone involved and all the kind words. This whole process is deeply impactful to me so any who supports me, (even in the smallest ways) gives me a lot of motivation to keep going.
That has been difficult for me lately, im open about that.

Im choosing to be very vocal about it on here because for some reason whenever I go in public I put on the biggest smile I can and pretend im fine.
Even if im struggling internally I cant show it. No matter how hard I try.

Im my youth i would climb and yell as loud as I could about everything that was wrong with me and the world.
(In my punk band, I wasn't just yelling haha)
Now the most important thing i can do is be an example and create as much stuff as I can while this body will let me.

My body now leaves me with energy I cant burn and dreams that will never happen.
So when I get help and support to express myself, its like getting a slice of the life I thought I would have and its so significant to me you mind as well tattoo it on the inside of my skull.

I have a solo show in November

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and showed love! If you haven’t checked out Flat Black yet (right at The Shops at Palm Desert), do yourself a favor and stop by next time you’re in the area.

BIG BRO @noa_james will be performing at No Comply Art Show and Skate Exhibition ❗️Come through Saturday, September 26 in Ontario California. @untitledartgallery_dto

Being a performer in my community has always meant more than just getting on stage. It’s about showing up in different spaces and opening new doors for artists in my community. I’ve never been comfortable only performing in the places people expected us to perform. I wanted to bring our art into new rooms, new neighborhoods, and new opportunities. That’s always been a source of love for me and a force of entry. Every performance is a chance to represent where I’m from while creating more space for the people coming after me. That’s what performing in my community means to me. -Noa James
