8 Weeks of summer training have come and gone! We had a very good summer. Over 180 student athletes participated in Speed & Strength this year, our most ever!! Coach Lyle and I would like to thank all of you for your support and commitment to our Laker Athletic Department. The next two weeks we will have the weight room open from 7am to 9 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for any student who would like to continue lifting before Fall Sports start.

Attached are the Summer Top 10 lists for HS and JH athletes. We're very proud of the work that was put in over the last 8 weeks! We transitioned to Brief Maximal Tension and Undulating programming this spring. So this was the first summer with both styles of training, and we saw some GREAT things! A special shout out to Alex Adams for tying the school record in the Vertical Jump with a leap of 38.6 inches!!

Go Lakers!!

Last day of training before Dead Week. Today focused on the Lower Body. Our kids are getting more comfortable and confident with Box Squats. The last 3 weeks should show some awesome improvements!

Here is where we sit at the halfway point of Summer Training.

Strength testing was done this week, and we were missing quite a few kids for vacations, camps, tournaments, etc. Those kids will get another opportunity to make the Top 5 at the end of the summer.

Speed assessments have been done every week, and our Top 10 lists are composed of the best marks from the first half of the summer.

There has been A LOT of good things going on so far, and we are very excited for the final four weeks of training! Keep up the good work, Lakers!!

After two weeks of training we have seen 177 Lakers put in work to better themselves and their teams!

This is the largest group EVER for our summer Speed & Strength program!

We have seen a lot of good things in the first two weeks, and there is much more to come.

Keep stacking quality work on top of quality work!
