On March 26, 2021 Donovon Lynch was murdered by Officer Solomon Simmons of the Virginia Beach Police Department. Solomon Simmons was not indicted and has faced no charges for the unjust killing of Donovon.

Dr.Porcher has come in and confirmed what we knew all along, what witnesses stated. Donovon was no threat. He committed no crime. He should still be here today with his family and friends. Solomon Simmons should have been indicted for murder, and accountability is still needed in the city of Virginia Beach.

Today makes 3 years since both Deshayla Harris and Donovon Lynch were murdered at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. While many of you have seem to forgotten, I haven’t.

Solomon Simmons III murdered Donovon in cold blood and Deshayla Harris was an innocent bystander in the evenings events. A special grand jury failed to indict the killer cop and the VBPD has still not released the Ballistic Report to Deshayla’s family after 3 years.

On March 26, 2024 it will make 3 years since #DonovonLynch was murdered by Virginia Beach police officer Solomon Simmons III. Donovon committed no crime, but still a special grand jury failed to indict the officer responsible for his death.

As the Lynch family continues to reflect on his legacy we ask that you would do the same. Email us a short video reflecting on what Donovon meant to you. Tell us a word that might describe him or share your favorite memory. All submissions are due by March 20, 2024.

We want to send a HUGE congratulations to Lauryn Lynch who graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Merchandising from Virginia Commonwealth University. Lauryn was surrounded by numerous family members and friends on her special day. We are so excited for how she will soar and continue to live on Donovon’s legacy. For those of you who are new here Donovon and Lauryn actually had a business called Big Steppas where they would find the larger sizes in shoes and clothing and sell them. They catered toward the big and tall and all pieces sold were extremely unique. We know that Donovon, and your mom would be so proud. Continue to Lead By Example Lauryn. ✊🏾👩🏾‍🎓

It has been almost three years, but the fight for justice continues. Last week the @naacp_virginiabeach put out this press release calling for a FEDERAL investigation surrounding the violent unwarranted murder of Donovon Lynch.

Solomon Simmons III broke various police protocols on the night that he killed Donovon and although a grand jury decided not to indict him this fight for justice is not over.

It’s been 9 months since the initial agreement was formed. The Lynch family had a very strong case for their $50million suit. Unfortunately corruption and collusion forced them to settle for $3million.

No amount of money will ever be able to replace Donovon but these funds will be used to continue to fight for the JUSTICE that Donovon is owed and deserves.

Donovon was a beacon of light. He always Led By Example and he always thought before he acted. We hope that you will continue to say his name and get fired up as we continue this fight. Remember, it’s a marathon not a sprint.

🚨 Today was MAJOR! I am so proud of Mr.Wayne for staying the course and not letting up!

For the last 2 years I have been working alongside the Lynch family to advocate for #JusticeforDonovonLynch. On March 26, 2021 Donovon Lynch was murdered by Officer Solomon Simmons of the Virginia Beach Police Department. He committed no crime, and was simply headed back to his vehicle after a night out with friends.

Today the Lynch family settled for $3million. While that will never be enough money to replace Donovon it will help his family continue to keep his legacy alive.

This new settlement agreement will allow the Lynch family to pursue future claims and continue their fight for justice. Solomon Simmons has got to go!

#DonovonLynch should be here surrounded with love, celebrating his 28th birthday with his family and friends.

He should be celebrating all of his great accomplishments. He should be preparing to go to a Pop Up Shop to promote his @officialbigsteppas business or a show to watch all of his artists with @lbe_mgmnt.

Unfortunately the Virginia Beach Police Department, specifically Solomon Simmons robbed him of this celebration. Donovon was not only a good man, but an innocent man. He committed NO CRIME!
