At the tail end of summer, during August 2026, a group of divers, photographers, journalists and underwater enthusiasts gathered in Panama City Beach, Florida, for a very particular kind of DOXA experience. Brought together by Fort Worth retailer @thewatchpreserve , with support from DOXA, Deep Six Expedition Gear and Panama City Diving, the idea was simple: take a community united by a passion for DOXA, diving and underwater history, and get them out from behind their screens and into the water together.

Immensely grateful to get to be a part of this year’s Wind Up In A Lake with @wornandwound & @citizenwatchus. Such a fantastic way to celebrate 50 years of Eco-Drive. This edition had everything- some sporty chop on the way to the site, a gorgeous wreck, and a lost Aqualand.

Windup In a Lake 2026. Fun times diving with the @ships.log boyz, @brickro and Citizen Watches, and @kyality and the W&W crew. After an action packed motor out to the dive site, we geared up and submerged. Fun times diving with all the guys and the TGN legends. This is the stuff memories are made of.

The (almost lost) @citizenwatch Aqualand C506 had quite the adventure for Windup in a Lake in Chicago this past weekend. After getting some new shoes via the period-correct titanium bracelet from @submersiblewrist, I squeezed it over my wetsuit sleeve and jumped into the surprisingly warm waters of Lake Michigan - only to feel the bracelet pop open and watch it flutter away past my fins into the depth below.

We did the dive on the Wells Burt and after returning to the boat, I was saddened by the loss of a very cool watch. Then, the last man to return - @watchcowsdive - got back on deck and pulled it out of his pocket, having found it resting in the wreck on his last lap before ascending. You can even see the depth and the length of the Aqualand’s dive (longer than my own) on its dual digital screens.
